“Aim High, Stay Grounded” was the expectation Vice Minister Xin Guobin set for the entire industry at last year’s Artificial Intelligence Forum. Upholding this spirit, DeepWise has forged ahead with continuous progress and a steadfast commitment to innovation over the past year.

During his report to Minister Xin, Qiao Xin, Co-founder and CEO of DeepWise, pointed out that at last year’s exhibition, DeepWise’s Dr.Wise® AI-assisted medical diagnostic system comprised only two products. After a year of research and development investment, the Dr.Wise® AI-assisted medical diagnostic system now offers six products, which can be widely applied in early screening for lung cancer and breast cancer, assessment of children’s growth and development, assisted diagnosis of stroke, screening for thoracic diseases, and detection of complex joint lesions.

At this exhibition, DeepWise’s newly launched Dr. Wise®AI-Assisted Diagnostic System for Complex Joint X-rays is applicable to various clinical scenarios, including radiology departments and emergency trauma surgery. It can detect and mark complex, minute fracture lesions in five areas: hand joints, wrist joints, foot joints, ankle joints, and elbow joints. Simultaneously, it classifies the detected lesions (e.g., fractures, foreign bodies, postoperative changes). The system enables rapid detection, providing immediate lesion localization for interpreting physicians. With advantages such as high sensitivity and high specificity, the system achieves a detection rate of 97%, ensuring no minute lesions are missed. It demonstrates excellent performance in detecting conditions prone to missed diagnosis, particularly occult fractures, avulsion fractures, and dislocations. The system exhibits strong diagnostic robustness and is compatible with X-ray equipment of various brands and models.

In an interview with the conference’s news center, Qiao Xin, Co-founder and CEO of DeepWise, stated, “DeepWise has continuously innovated, establishing a comprehensive portfolio of AI-powered healthcare products, including AI-assisted diagnostic systems for medical imaging, intelligent cloud-based imaging platforms, multimodal research platforms, in-hospital intelligent consultation and triage systems, and AI-driven pathological testing systems. Recently, DeepWise completed its Series C financing round, raising hundreds of millions of RMB. This achievement reflects industry recognition of the company’s growth since its founding over two years ago. Looking ahead, DeepWise will continue to advance the intelligence of healthcare products around the concept of ‘Smart Healthcare,’ driven by business innovation, to accelerate hospitals’ digital transformation, empower their smart future, and serve more medical institutions.”

2019 Annual Working Conference of the Telemedicine and Information Technology Branch, China Association of Medical Equipment

Chen Er, Director of the Marketing and Product Department at DeepWise, delivered a keynote address titled “AI Empowering Primary Care to Facilitate Tiered Diagnosis and Treatment.” She pointed out that as a country with a large population, China faces a shortage of medical and health resources, uneven distribution of these resources, and significant disparities in medical service levels between urban and rural areas. How to integrate medical resources through artificial intelligence and internet technologies to help physicians address clinical challenges has become an urgent issue for smart healthcare to resolve.

DeepWise Dr.Wise®Cloud Intelligent Imaging Cloud consists of three functional components: Cloud PACS, Cloud AI, and Cloud Film. The platform is an online medical imaging diagnostic center based on application virtualization technology, integrated with DeepWise’s artificial intelligence-assisted diagnostic technology, enabling physicians to access medical imaging data and AI processing results quickly and efficiently anytime, anywhere. The platform provides professional and user-friendly multi-terminal tools for online image review and remote diagnostic reporting, delivers precise AI-based recommendations, and facilitates vertical collaboration between tertiary hospitals and primary care institutions within the region as well as interoperability of medical data. It establishes an efficient and convenient online connection among specialists, hospitals, and patients, and can be widely applied in scenarios such as tiered diagnosis and treatment, two-way referral, expert consultation, and remote research and education. With Cloud Film, patients can scan the QR code on their reports via mobile devices to view textual and graphical report results and browse DICOM images, meeting the needs of various imaging diagnostic scenarios.
