Recently, VCBeat (WeChat ID: vcbeat) learned from foreign media reports that Adventist HealthCare, a healthcare organization headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland, has reached an acquisition agreement with Fort Washington Medical Center.
The acquisition is scheduled to be completed this fall, making Fort Washington Medical Center the third acute care hospital in the Adventist HealthCare system. Additionally, Adventist HealthCare will operate 37 beds at Fort Washington Medical Center.

Terry Forde pointed out that Adventist HealthCare is the first and largest healthcare system in Montgomery County, Maryland. The Adventist HealthCare integrated health services network includes four nationally recognized acute care and specialty hospitals, mental health service organizations, and home health agencies, all serving the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
