Since the advent of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector, the pace of intelligent and informatization upgrades in hospitals has accelerated significantly. However, this has also given rise to three inevitable challenges: fragmentation of health information, heterogeneity of hospital systems, and lagging utilization of medical data.

Specifically, patient information, clinical data, and pharmaceutical data are scattered across various nodes of the entire healthcare ecosystem, including patients, hospitals, pharmaceutical providers, insurance companies, and regulatory agencies. This fragmentation of health information significantly hinders data flow. Meanwhile, healthcare services span the primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors, and the lack of necessary industry standards has led to severe heterogeneity among information systems developed and deployed by different institutions, making interoperability and communication difficult. On the other hand, while the ultimate goal of smart healthcare is to fully leverage massive amounts of health data to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services, the current lag in health data utilization severely impedes the advancement of smart healthcare.

In response to the aforementioned issues, Zhejiang Yisha Cloud Information Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yisha Cloud Tech”) has entered the healthcare sector and proposed its own solution.

i2H Platform Tackles Three Major Challenges as Shayun Technology Enters the Healthcare Sector

Wang Wei, Co-Founder of Yisha Cloud Technology, stated, “Yisha Cloud Technology has developed the i2H Mental Health Information Platform based on strong semantic technology.”

The i2H platform effectively addresses the fragmentation of medical information, providing a reliable data foundation essential for smart healthcare. Meanwhile, it facilitates compatibility and collaboration among heterogeneous medical and health information systems, thereby improving the utilization rate of diverse medical and health system resources. Supporting the integration, processing, analysis, and mining of big data, the i2H platform leverages AI and BI technologies to enable dynamic optimization and rational restructuring of data-driven healthcare services, thus enhancing the overall operational efficiency of healthcare institutions. Covering the entire spectrum from hospital-based medical care to public health services, the i2H platform integrates multiple key technologies to resolve challenges related to the integration, storage, sharing, exchange, and reuse of medical and health data.

Wang Wei introduced: “The i2H platform is an intelligent platform for healthcare resources. Its key features include eliminating the need to unify complex information infrastructure, build new data centers, integrate disparate information systems from different vendors, or establish centralized operations and maintenance teams. It also allows users to maintain their existing work habits. The platform facilitates the comprehensive establishment of Medical Consortium Imaging Diagnostic Centers, Clinical Laboratory Diagnostic Centers, Pathology Diagnostic Centers, ECG Diagnostic Centers, Specialty Treatment Centers, and Remote Teaching and Training Centers. This fully leverages the high-quality resources of medical consortia, including talent, disciplines, and medical equipment. It ensures that appropriate data is delivered in the proper format to the right users at the correct destinations, effectively preventing illegal or unauthorized access to resources. While enabling full sharing of healthcare resources, it further safeguards information security and personal privacy.”

Another key reason for Yisha Cloud Technology’s entry into the healthcare sector is to align with national policy directives. Wang Wei stated, “Throughout the process of healthcare system reform, the government has repeatedly proposed establishing a tiered diagnosis and treatment system, implementing the ‘two-invoice’ system reform, and conducting full-lifecycle tracking of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. However, existing technologies have struggled to meet the technical requirements necessary for the implementation of these healthcare reform policies. Since our strong semantic technology achieved commercialization, it has been fully capable of addressing the numerous technical challenges encountered in policy implementation. Starting with breaking down ‘information silos’ and achieving real-time interoperability and integration of heterogeneous systems and data, we recognized that the market for smart healthcare and the broader health industry exceeds one trillion yuan. Therefore, we decided to introduce our core technologies into the healthcare sector as a first step.”

# Twelve Years of Deep Cultivation, Technology Finally Lands

Yisha Cloud Technology, established in 2016, holds full patent ownership and usage rights to the parent company Shashi Taide’s independently developed “zero-to-one” technologies in the medical field, thereby achieving the industrialization of innovative technologies in the smart healthcare sector. Its core competitiveness lies in its proprietary leading-edge technologies.

Wang Wei stated, “Over the past twelve years, our parent company has independently developed ‘Media Ontology Language (MOL)’ and ‘Machine Mind Modeling Technology,’ collectively defined as ‘Artificial Mind (AM) technology.’ AM is an original, foundational theoretical technology with general-purpose applicability. It has overcome two major challenges: ‘multi-source heterogeneity’ of data and ‘strong semantic understanding.’ This endows computers with common-sense comprehension and reasoning capabilities, transforming artificial intelligence from a ‘black box’ into safe, controllable, and ‘explainable AI’—namely, next-generation AI. Based on recent academic publications worldwide, we anticipate no competitors will emerge within the next five years, establishing an absolute technological barrier.”

What are the advantages of AM technology? Wang Wei continued to explain: “MOL is a language used by machines to represent common sense and knowledge. Traditional AI technologies cannot understand information or grasp the meaning of data, whereas AM technology enables computers to perform analysis and provide solutions based on their understanding of information and data. It represents a generational leap in artificial intelligence, advancing from ‘perceptual intelligence’ to ‘cognitive intelligence.’ In simple terms, AM allows computers to think like humans, engage in human-like communication rather than mere question-and-answer interactions, and learn and apply knowledge and experience in a manner similar to humans.”

Taking the “Cognitive Intelligence Robot”—the psychological counseling robot AMP, developed by Yisha Cloud Technology, as an example, this robot employs AM technology. Its underlying mechanism enables the robot to learn physicians’ common sense and clinical experience, and to perform integrative reasoning using human-like thinking. Users engaging in conversations with the psychological counseling robot AMP experience interactions akin to talking with a psychotherapist, receiving emotional support tailored to their own emotional states, rather than merely retrieving standardized answers from the robot’s knowledge base.

Psychological Counseling Robots: Pioneering Entry into the Smart Healthcare Sector

According to statistics from the World Health Organization, more than 300 million people worldwide suffer from depression, including 54 million patients in China, while an even larger population experiences depressive symptoms. Although effective treatments for depression are available, fewer than half of patients globally receive adequate care, and in many countries, less than 10% of patients undergo treatment. Why do patients fail to receive effective treatment? Research by Yisha Cloud Technology reveals a severe shortage of medical resources for depression, particularly a lack of trained psychological counselors. Meanwhile, social stigma surrounding depression is also a significant factor discouraging patients from seeking treatment.

Yisha Cloud Technology’s AMP, an AI-powered psychological counseling robot, has been developed to meet this need. After just six months of training by mental health professionals, AMP is ready for deployment, enabling the “mass production of doctors.” Wang Wei stated, “AMP offers the advantages of ease of use and low cost, delivering 24/7 personalized one-on-one services through a mobile app. On one hand, its affordable price makes it accessible to patients. On the other hand, AMP helps protect patient confidentiality to a certain extent, allowing individuals with depressive symptoms to receive psychological counseling without needing to visit a hospital.”

Compared to the five-year training period required for undergraduate medical students, the learning curve for the AMP psychological counseling robot is significantly shorter. With such a rapid deployment timeline, can its accuracy be guaranteed? Wang Wei explained, “Psychological counseling places a greater emphasis on reliability; it is inconceivable that effective communication could arise from a scenario akin to ‘a chicken talking to a duck’ (i.e., complete miscommunication). When providing counseling, mental health professionals require not only specialized knowledge but also, more importantly, an understanding of the help-seeker’s current psychological state. AMP possesses this capability. Each AMP reflects the clinical competence of the psychologist who trained it. As the saying goes, ‘A famous teacher produces a brilliant student.’ Every psychologist can train their own AMP to serve help-seekers.”

Planning a new round of financing, with an estimated post-money valuation of RMB 200 million.

Regarding future plans, Wang Wei stated: “Yisha Cloud Technology plans to launch its psychological counseling robot, AMP 1.0, next year. Furthermore, the AMP psychological counseling robot is only the company’s first product. We will integrate it with subsequently developed products—such as the AMD intelligent diagnostic assistance system for single-disease conditions, elderly care robots, and general-practice rehabilitation robots—alongside the i2H Smart Healthcare Platform, to establish a new ecosystem for mental health care.”

According to the VCBeat database, Yisha Cloud Technology previously received RMB 5 million in angel-round investment from Yongtianda Capital. Currently, Yisha Cloud Technology is preparing for its Pre-A financing round, with a company valuation of RMB 200 million and a planned fundraising target of RMB 30 million.

Wang Wei told VCBeat, “We are currently seeking investment institutions with expertise in the healthcare sector, aiming to leverage this partnership to gain access to more healthcare-related resources, including B-end resources and talent. For a technology-driven company like ours, greater access to medical resources will significantly benefit our future strategic layout in the healthcare industry and the integration of market resources.”

Over the past two years, the overall investment market has entered a “capital winter.” While multiple unicorn companies have emerged in the field of artificial intelligence at the level of perceptual intelligence, such as speech and vision—including iFlytek and SenseTime—the investment momentum in the AI sector is also shrinking and weakening.

Wang Wei concluded by stating, “Currently, the development of AI is genuinely facing numerous bottlenecks. For instance, existing AI systems are only capable of performing a single task—AlphaGo can only play Go. Furthermore, there is a lack of fundamental theoretical research, and the ‘black box’ nature of deep learning remains unresolved; entrusting everything to the unknown is unreliable. In addition, challenges such as data limitations, generalization issues, energy consumption, and the semantic gap represent unavoidable bottlenecks on the path of AI development. Therefore, for investment institutions looking to invest in the artificial intelligence sector, we hope that Yisha Cloud Technology’s proprietary, original ‘Cognitive Intelligence’ technology will become the creator of the next major trend next year.”
