QxMD is a technology-based learning company headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, providing point-of-care tools and personalized learning solutions for physicians and healthcare professionals (HCPs). QxMD will operate as an independent subsidiary of WebMD Health Corp. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
This acquisition combines QxMD’s excellent online clinical calculators and other digital learning tools for HCPs with Medscape’s content, reference materials, medical point-of-care solutions, and crowdsourced offerings. Medscape is a platform that provides digital news, information, and continuing medical education to physicians and HCPs. Medscape is a division of WebMD Health Corp.
