On June 12, construction commenced on Phase I of the Walvax Wuxi Mannuo Sanhe Xinghe Project. Attendees included Que Yaoyao, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Xinwu District People’s Congress and Director of the Wuxi Taihu International Science and Technology Park Management Office; Wu Yunyan, Vice President of Walvax Biotechnology; and relevant officials from the Special Food Division of the Wuxi Administration for Market Regulation, Wuxi Life Science Industry Development Co., Ltd., and the National Center for Technological Innovation in Special Foods under the State Administration for Market Regulation.

Que Yaoyao extended warm congratulations on the commencement of the project. Wuxi High-Tech Zone is the core hub for the city’s biopharmaceutical industry, hosting over 850 biopharmaceutical companies and accounting for more than 50% of the city’s industrial scale. It has attracted leading enterprises such as Nutricia and Hengyi Health, and established multiple high-level research platforms, including the Wuxi Institute for Special Food and Nutritional Health, the Wuxi Innovation Research Institute of China Pharmaceutical University, and the SDIC New Quality Protein Bio-manufacturing Innovation Center. The integrated R&D and production cluster for special foods is accelerating its development. This extension of the industrial chain marks a significant step for Walvax Biotechnology in its layout of the medical formula food sector and will further strengthen the special food ecosystem in the zone. Wuxi International Life Science Innovation ParkYesA life sciences innovation incubation platform jointly established by the Wuxi Municipal Government, Wuxi High-Tech Zone, and AstraZeneca.
