On August 28, DXY, an internet healthcare company, announced a comprehensive upgrade to its corporate vision, mission, and values. In an internal letter to all employees, Founder and Chairman Li Tiantian stated that health and education represent long-term investments for families—investments that do not require consideration of exit strategies. This type of “investment” is not a one-time transaction, but rather a form of savings that continuously generates compound interest, spanning the entire life cycle of every individual and family.
Li Tiantian stated that as life expectancy continues to rise, demand for professional health products and services is steadily increasing, driving continuous upgrades in health consumption. As an internet company dedicated to the healthcare sector, DXY is increasingly attuned to this shift. Consequently, “More Health, Better Life” will become DXY’s new vision.

“Harnessing Professional Expertise to Build Trusted Products” is DXY’s new mission: professional expertise creates trusted products, and trusted products embody professionalism and professional value. “Integrity, Openness, Commitment, and Innovation” are DXY’s upgraded core values.
In an internal letter, Li Tiantian stated that smart people always hope to “achieve maximum results with minimal effort,” but in the field of healthcare, DXY has always been about “expending significant effort to achieve modest gains.” “In the past, Chinese doctors lacked professional communication platforms, and there were no reliable, professional healthcare products on the Chinese internet. Thanks to the existence of DXY and Dingxiang Doctor, these things have emerged from nothing, grown from small beginnings, and continue to influence both the industry and the public. The world would be entirely different with or without us.”

Dear Gardeners of the Flower Factory:
Today, Huachang will upgrade our vision, mission, and values.
Vision: More Health, Better Life
Mission: Harness Professional Expertise to Deliver Reliable Products
Values: Integrity, Openness, Commitment, Innovation
After four decades of transition from poverty to prosperity, the population has shifted from suffering from malnutrition to struggling with weight loss. The principal contradiction facing Chinese society has evolved into one between the people’s ever-growing needs for a better life and unbalanced and inadequate development. People’s aspiration for a better life has directly driven consumption upgrading, a significant portion of which is related to healthy living. Without health, there can be no better life; without universal health, there can be no comprehensive well-being. Key national health indicators have been incorporated into the performance evaluations of Party committees and governments at all levels following the release of the Healthy China Action Plan.
Let’s take a longer-term view. In an article published earlier this year in MIT Technology Review, Bill Gates reviewed thousands of years of human technological development and looked ahead to future directions. He argued that as technology advances, human needs will shift from “more” to “better.” For instance, in the future, people will need cultured meat that does not occupy arable land, emit methane, or spread diseases, rather than simply having more cattle.
Returning to the healthcare sector, the nation’s healthcare security and service system is designed to address the challenge of “scale,” such as providing universal health insurance with broad coverage, strengthening primary healthcare infrastructure, increasing the supply of grassroots medical services, controlling drug prices, and implementing zero tariffs on imported anticancer drugs. The core objective is to ensure the public-welfare nature and accessibility of healthcare and pharmaceuticals through government leadership. In the future, the government will continue to play a leading role and should ultimately serve as the safety net.
However, health and healthcare are entirely different.
From disease to health, from the ICU to the gym, from targeted therapies to weight-loss meals… This is a continuously evolving spectrum, encompassing two distinct yet interconnected domains. On either side of this horizontally expanding spectrum, the closer one moves toward the health end, the greater the demand for high-quality products and services with superior user experiences. This shift aims to address the question of “better,” not merely “more.” It can no longer be resolved through universal health insurance and public hospitals, nor can it rely on government bailouts; instead, it necessarily depends on private enterprises and social capital to provide richer and more diverse solutions.
Health is the product of lifestyle, and everyone’s lifestyle is ultimately tied to the family. Both health and education represent long-term family investments—investments from which one never needs to exit. Here, “investment” does not refer to a one-time transaction, but rather to savings that continuously generate compound interest, spanning the entire life cycle of every individual and every family. Therefore, leveraging our strong medical expertise, we will shift our focus from merely addressing disease to safeguarding the health of countless households. Our new vision is: More Health, Better Life.
“Vision,” also referred to as “long-term vision,” embodies our aspirations for the future and serves as an ideal direction that guides our path forward. DXY is an internet company dedicated to the healthcare sector. We observe that life expectancy continues to rise, demand for professional health products and services is steadily increasing, and health-related consumption is continuously upgrading. People everywhere aspire to live longer and healthier lives—a trend not only prevalent in China but also across the globe.
We envision doctors and medical students acquiring knowledge, enhancing their skills, securing employment, and earning transparent incomes through our platform, thereby improving their professional careers and personal lives. We also expect the general public and patients to improve their health literacy, avoid fraud, alleviate anxiety, resolve uncertainties, effectively manage chronic and common diseases, and access professional knowledge and answers on our platform, leading to better physical health and an improved quality of life for both individuals and families.
“Harnessing professional expertise to deliver reliable products” will be our new mission and the very purpose of our existence. “Professional expertise” embodies DXY’s three unique advantages: “professional physicians,” “professionalism,” and “professional value.”
Professional Physicians — DXY boasts the largest community of professional physicians, who possess specialized knowledge and skills in their respective fields. They create professional content, answer medical inquiries, and provide expert services. As insiders, experts, and thought leaders, they drive the platform’s professional excellence.
Professionalism—Having a large number of physicians alone is far from sufficient. The DXY team has undergone rigorous scientific training, adheres to strict scientific standards, upholds the highest review criteria, and strives for optimal product quality. We respect science, believe in science, and possess professional expertise. The DXY team maintains an unflagging curiosity and enterprising spirit, demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility, pursues excellence with meticulous attention and focused dedication, commits wholeheartedly, and values resources. We embody professionalism.
Professional Value — Professionalism ensures quality; quality earns trust and choice; being chosen by many is the true embodiment of professional value.
The convergence of the above three elements forms our distinctive “Professional Strength.”
“Product reliability” is our consistent stance. Whether addressing physicians or the general public, we are committed to ensuring that our products are reliable, sound, well-crafted, rational, trustworthy, dependable, reassuring, scientifically grounded, responsible, and ethically made.
Achieving this is no easy feat. While clever minds often seek to “move a thousand pounds with four ounces of effort,” in the healthcare sector, we have consistently adopted the approach of “applying a thousand pounds of effort to move four ounces.” Our aim is to leverage professional and reliable products to help medical professionals realize their personal value, assist hospitals and enterprises in achieving success, and provide the public and patients with trustworthy healthcare products.
Harnessing Professional Expertise to Deliver Reliable Products. Professional expertise creates reliable products, and reliable products demonstrate professionalism and professional value.
“Integrity, Openness, Commitment, Innovation” are the streamlined values:
Integrity—doing the right thing, honoring commitments, upholding professional standards, and demonstrating “professionalism”;
Openness — Equality for all, an open mindset, mutual respect, candid communication, and a strong sense of team spirit;
Commitment – Dare to take responsibility, work diligently, achieve goals, be accountable for results, and demonstrate a sense of ownership;
Innovation – Mastering core competencies, continuously improving and optimizing, solving longstanding problems with better solutions, and embodying a “spirit of exploration.”
In the past, Chinese physicians lacked professional platforms for exchange, and there were no reliable, professional digital health products on the Chinese internet. Thanks to DXY and DXY Doctor, these resources have emerged from nothing, grown steadily, and continue to shape both the industry and the public.
Now, delivering professional, high-quality, and reliable products to households has become our new mission: ensuring babies’ health, mothers’ peace of mind, seniors’ safety, patients’ ease, and doctors’ dignity. This is also our commitment to our family, friends, and colleagues.
The world is entirely different with and without us.
