VCBeat (WeChat ID: vcbeat) has learned that “Mi Jiankang,” the primary care industrial internet service platform under Yunhu Technology, has announced the completion of its Pre-B round financing of RMB 220 million. The round was led by All-Stars Capital, with participation from existing investors CCV Capital Partners, Boyuan Capital, and Guoke Jiahe.

Since its establishment in January 2017, Yunhu Technology has been guided by the tiered diagnosis and treatment policy to build the “Mi Jiankang” industrial internet service platform for primary healthcare. By leveraging technology to break down information silos within the industry and using SaaS platform software and grassroots medical testing services as entry points, the company has secured 15% of high-quality customer resources in the grassroots medical market. It has rapidly grown into a leading enterprise in the medical testing sector, expanding its offerings to include diversified products and services such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and medical education, thereby earning widespread acclaim from grassroots medical institutions. The “Mi Jiankang” platform has established strong brand influence across the supply side, clinic side, and user side.

Data shows that the “Primary Care Medical Testing Platform” is the first product developed by Yunhu Technology. This primary care testing solution comprises features such as “24-hour in-province testing, 2-hour regional testing, cold-chain logistics, cloud-based reports, AI-powered intelligent report interpretation, and expert interpretation,” effectively addressing the needs of a wide range of primary healthcare institutions.

Having achieved its phase goal of “making medical testing simpler and diagnosis more convenient,” Yunhu has enjoyed an increasingly positive market reputation and greater trust from primary healthcare institutions. As customer expectations for Yunhu continue to rise, clients are putting forward a growing array of new requirements—such as extending services from “diagnosis” to “medication management.” This represents a complete link in the primary care journey and marks Yunhu’s step toward offering comprehensive primary healthcare solutions. In the future, Yunhu aims to leverage technology and services to integrate the entire primary care process.

Furthermore, with the introduction of numerous policies, the prospects for primary healthcare are becoming increasingly promising. Unlike the blind expansion seen in the early stages of entering the primary healthcare sector, current startups in this field are taking a pragmatic approach by providing solutions to primary healthcare institutions. These solutions aim to “enhance management capabilities, improve diagnostic standards, boost revenue generation, and strengthen patient acquisition.” This is the mission that Yunhu Technology has consistently pursued.

Over the past two years, Yunhu’s “Mi Jiankang” platform has partnered with 150,000 clinics, aiming to serve 500,000 primary healthcare institutions through more comprehensive primary care solutions.

Chen Xiaobing, Chairman and CEO of Yunhu Technology, stated: “Yunhu Technology is committed to building China’s leading internet service platform for the primary healthcare industry. By leveraging grassroots medical testing as our entry point, we have rapidly expanded across the national market and integrated additional services, including software, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and medical education. Our primary focus is addressing core challenges in grassroots healthcare, such as information asymmetry, scarcity of high-quality resources, lack of professional expertise, and limited profitability. Ultimately, we aim to create a closed-loop system that evolves from grassroots medical testing solutions to comprehensive primary healthcare solutions, thereby realizing our corporate vision of ‘empowering grassroots healthcare with technology to improve the health of people in our communities.’”

Regarding this financing round, Zhongwei Capital stated: “There is still significant room for improvement in China’s healthcare services compared to those in Europe, the United States, Japan, and other regions. Particularly against the backdrop of the national promotion of tiered diagnosis and treatment, we anticipate the emergence of a cohort of outstanding companies that are transforming healthcare—especially the primary care market—through business model and technological innovation. Yunhu Technology’s ‘Mi Jiankang’ (Seeking Health) is precisely such a practitioner, leader, and standout performer.”

Over the past decade, innovation and entrepreneurship in the Chinese market have primarily revolved around populations in core cities, aligning with the objective law of staggered development. Meanwhile, we have also observed that China’s grassroots market, covering nearly 800 million people, still has substantial unmet needs, such as in primary healthcare. Following this line of thought, we conducted in-depth research into China’s grassroots healthcare market and evaluated multiple vertical segments from both social and commercial value perspectives, ultimately leading us to partner with the Yunhu Health project.

Notably, in founder Chen Xiaobing and the core founding team, we have observed not only profound industry insights and exceptional execution capabilities but also their aspiration, optimism, diligence, and perseverance to improve the current state of primary healthcare in China. This aligns closely with our fund’s consistent “altruistic” investment philosophy, further strengthening our resolve and confidence in supporting the company’s growth.

Yunhu Technology will primarily allocate the funds from this financing round to the following areas:

1. Continue to provide in-depth operational support for the “Mi Health” platform to grassroots clients, sustain our leading position in the “grassroots medical testing” sector, accelerate the integration of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, expand service offerings and boundaries, transition from a provider of grassroots laboratory solutions to a provider of primary healthcare solutions, and enhance the service experience for grassroots medical institutions;

2. Yunhu Technology’s current market presence covers 25 provinces and 450 prefecture-level cities, with partnerships reaching 150,000 primary care clinics; the company will continue to strengthen professional education and customer conversion.

3. Continue to strengthen R&D investment, enhance the construction of the technical middle platform, focus on in-depth development of the information technology product matrix, streamline the entire service process for grassroots healthcare industries, and provide an information technology expressway for industrial layout;

4. Strengthen infrastructure construction for the supply system and the logistics warehousing, trunk-line transportation, and distribution system to provide robust support for the downward allocation of resources;

5. Strengthen and optimize the organizational structure and build a talent pipeline to forge a more professional and formidable "iron army" of grassroots medical service providers.

The primary healthcare medical testing industry is still in its infancy, currently at the stage of market education. The expansion of primary healthcare medical testing requires robust infrastructure support. Yunhu Technology’s “Mi Jiankang” (Seeking Health) platform is continuously building out its “supply network, information network, logistics network, and terminal network.” These four networks constitute its core competitive barriers. The “Mi Jiankang” platform is poised to officially launch its Series B financing round in the near future.

Yunhu Technology remains steadfast in its original aspiration to build China’s leading industrial internet service platform for primary healthcare, upholding its mission of “empowering grassroots clinics and facilitating tiered diagnosis and treatment,” and leveraging exceptional execution capabilities to fulfill its promise of “making the people around us healthier.”
