On September 4, the Yishengyuan Center of Canada Wellness Institute (China), jointly established by Canada Wellness Institute (CWI) and More Health (Beijing More Health Technology Group Co., Ltd.), officially opened. This is the first health management center in China built upon the theoretical framework of lifestyle medicine and integrated with an artificial intelligence platform, as well as the first concept store jointly launched by CWI and More Health in the Chinese market.
On that day, Mr. Jim Nickel, Chargé d’Affaires of the Canadian Embassy in China; Professor Ji Xunming, Vice President of Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University; and Mr. Zhou Shenglai, Chairman of the Disease and Health Management Professional Committee of the Chinese Hospital Association, among others, attended the opening ceremony. Also unveiled alongside the Health Management Center was Xuanwu Hospital’s first Adaptation Therapy Center for Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases in Beijing. Leveraging clinical techniques based on remote ischemic conditioning, the center provides preventive treatment and rehabilitation services to high-risk individuals and patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular conditions, such as hypertension and stroke. Professor Ji Xunming and Ms. Carrie, Global CEO of CWI, jointly officiated the unveiling ceremony for the Xuanwu Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Adaptation Therapy Center.

Founded in 1996, the Canadian Wellness Institute (CWI) has a history of 23 years. It is the first and largest institution in North America to provide personalized health management and chronic disease intervention services through lifestyle medicine. To date, it has served over 6 million users, and its advanced health management concepts and effectiveness in chronic disease intervention are renowned worldwide.
Since its inception, Miao Health has been dedicated to building an intelligent, open platform that hosts the world’s most cutting-edge health management technologies and innovative service models. By continuously developing and strengthening its AI-driven, data-connected, and analytical capabilities centered on health, Miao Health has become a leading provider of comprehensive health management solutions for both corporate and individual clients within just four years. Throughout its development, Miao Health has remained committed to its original mission of introducing the world’s best health technologies to China to serve the public, while continually seeking out the highest-quality health management service models and partners globally.
Hard work pays off: CWI and Miao Health officially signed an agreement in Beijing in early 2018, and today marks the official opening of this digital and intelligent health management center.
Supported by the professional expertise of renowned interdisciplinary expert teams both domestically and internationally, and leveraging cutting-edge smart health devices, this newly upgraded CWI concept store has officially opened its doors after more than a year of research, development, and refinement. It provides users with “precision-customized health management” services throughout their entire life cycle. By integrating CWI’s core philosophy and service mission with Miao Health’s advanced internet capabilities in IoT, big data, and artificial intelligence, it redefines the AIoT-based health management center model. Through establishing closed loops across three dimensions—“management service,” “health data,” and “business model”—it better adapts to the evolving health needs and payment environments of users in the current AIoT era.

The Yishengyuan Center of the Canada Health Management Center (China) adheres to CWI’s principle of “No Assessment, No Intervention.” It provides members with a closed-loop service for comprehensive health management and chronic disease intervention, covering on-site risk screening and health assessments, prescription issuance and implementation, chronic disease intervention, professional outcome evaluation, prescription adjustment, and post-discharge remote health guidance.
Leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT) and smart hardware, the AIOT health management platform has established a “closed-loop health data system” across two dimensions: the Health Behavior Index and the Health Physiological Index. This enables continuous, full-scenario data tracking and analysis for members and users. While providing members with real-time feedback on their health information, the platform also allows health managers, nutritionists, and other professionals to monitor members’ health behaviors in real time and deliver timely health guidance and recommendations as needed.
Empowered by the “closed-loop management services” and “data closed loop,” it has become possible to realize a “business model closed loop” in which commercial insurers pay service providers, the Canada Health Management Center delivers health management services, and members/users purchase insurance coverage. This model features “payment-side drive, risk and quality control on the service side, and health benefits for users that sustain their payment behavior.”
The construction of three major closed loops is an essential core capability for health management centers in the AIoT era. Only health management centers equipped with such capabilities can truly provide efficient, high-quality health management and chronic disease management services to community residents, while ensuring member stickiness and adherence, and driving the healthy development of the commercial insurance-driven health industry.
In the coming years, in addition to accelerating the deployment of AIoT Health Management Centers, CWI (China) will explore more cross-industry collaboration models through close cooperation with hospitals, real estate developers, insurance institutions, and other partners. It is committed to building a new health service consortium that integrates medical fitness, chronic disease rehabilitation, health management, and new retail health services.
Going forward, CWI (China) will continue to collaborate with leading medical institutions, represented by Xuanwu Hospital, to make unremitting efforts to enhance the capabilities of domestic healthcare institutions in disciplines such as health management and chronic disease rehabilitation. Miao Health will also actively fulfill its corporate social responsibility in the Healthy China Promotion Campaign, setting an example for the industry and contributing to the early realization of the grand vision of “Healthy China.”
