Viant Medical (Viant) Announces Acquisition of Meraqi Medical (Meraqi). No financial terms of the acquisition were disclosed.


Reportedly, this marks Viant’s fourth acquisition within two years. Viant will continue to expand its expertise and capabilities in the healthcare market, advancing the front-end design and development of Interventional Technology and Bioelectronics products, thereby delivering end-to-end solutions for its customers.


Bioelectronics applies the theories and technologies of electronic information science to address biological problems, including the acquisition and analysis of biological information, the development of biomedical detection and adjunctive therapeutic technologies based on nanotechnology, and the development of miniature diagnostic instruments.


Interventional techniques, also known as interventional therapy, refer to minimally invasive treatments performed under the guidance and monitoring of imaging equipment such as digital subtraction angiography (DSA), CT, ultrasound, or magnetic resonance imaging. By using puncture needles, catheters, and other interventional devices, specific instruments are introduced to the lesion site through natural body orifices or tiny incisions to treat patients.
