FTC2019 China Forum on Advanced Cardiac Surgery Technologies Announces Agenda and Expert Panel: Over 30 Medical and Industry Leaders Converge to Drive Innovation in Cardiovascular Care

In recent years, the proposal of treatment protocols for pregnant patients with aortic dissection, the innovative application of TAVI... from the identification of clinical needs to the continuous innovation of cardiac surgical procedures, technological advancements and policy incentives have guided the development of cardiac surgery like the gravitational pull of the moon.

On June 8, the National Center for Cardiovascular Diseases released the "Report on Cardiovascular Diseases in China 2018." The report indicates that there are currently approximately 290 million patients, including 13 million with stroke, 11 million with coronary heart disease, and 4.5 million with heart failure. Deaths caused by cardiovascular diseases account for more than 40% of all disease-related deaths among residents, ranking first among all types of diseases. The number of people suffering from cardiovascular diseases in China continues to grow, and the enormous potential demand for surgical treatment requires the awakening of “new-generation” doctors, who represent the future force of innovation.

Under the combined efforts, the cardiovascular field has entered a period of rapid development. To promote the continuous advancement of the discipline in the cardiovascular field and foster innovative integration across the entire industry-academia-research-application chain, the Cardiac Surgery Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Education Association and the Cardiovascular Surgery Technology and Engineering Branch of the Chinese Medical Biotechnology Association will jointly host an event themed “Centripetal Force” in Beijing on November 9–10, 2019.“FTC2019 China Forum on Frontier Technologies in Cardiac Surgery”。
