According to the Zhicheng Finance APP, Venus Medtech-B (02500) surged over 14% during trading, and as of press time, it rose by 7.99%, reaching HK$3.65, with a turnover of HK$26.2799 million.
On the news front, on January 14 local time, Cardiovalve, a subsidiary of Venus Medtech (Hangzhou) Inc., in conjunction with MTH IP, L.P., filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Edwards, a global leader in heart valves, at the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. The lawsuit alleges that Edwards' core product, the PASCAL Precision Transcatheter Valve Repair System, infringes on the U.S. Patent No. 10,702,385 ("US '385 Patent") owned by Cardiovalve.
Analysts pointed out that this move is a proactive legal action by Venus Medtech to protect its rights after officially winning the lawsuit against Edwards regarding the validity of the US '385 patent rights owned by Cardiovalve in July 2025. This action not only defends its innovative achievements but also represents a milestone case for Chinese medical device companies in their globalization process, relying on a comprehensive intellectual property system to compete in the market.
