Online Behavioral Health Solutions Provider
On September 29, 2019, VCBeat (WeChat ID: vcbeat) learned that behavioral health company Nview Health announced the completion of a $4.65 million seed funding round, with BIP Capital as the investor.
Nview Health will use the funding to further develop and refine its flagship product, the MINI online diagnostic platform for behavioral health.
Headquartered in Georgia, USA, Nview Health is a provider of online behavioral health solutions. The company is dedicated to helping healthcare professionals and research organizations more accurately screen for and monitor mental disorders in children and adults. Nview Health’s behavioral health diagnostic platform enables healthcare professionals to make accurate diagnoses quickly and initiate patient treatment within a short timeframe.
Nview Health’s flagship product, MINI, is an online behavioral health diagnostic platform capable of automatically identifying more than 20 behavioral health disorders. MINI has been deployed in over 100 countries, translated into 120 languages, and validated in more than 10,000 clinical trials. The platform has received FDA approval and is endorsed by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
According to data from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in the United States, one in five American adults will experience some form of mental illness during their lifetime, while one in 25 individuals suffers from a serious mental illness. Early screening for children and young people is particularly important.
Jim Szyperski, CEO of Nview Health, stated, “Misdiagnosis of behavioral health conditions is a pervasive issue among healthcare providers across the United States, leading to unnecessary complications for patients and imposing additional costs on our healthcare system. Nview Health is dedicated to delivering the most accurate behavioral health assessment solutions to a broader range of healthcare professionals and consumers.”
“Nview Health’s MINI has been instrumental in the diagnosis of behavioral health conditions. We are thrilled to invest in this company, as it is making a positive impact on how mental illnesses are diagnosed and treated. BIP Capital looks forward to collaborating with Nview Health to build consensus in the field of behavioral health,” said Dan Drechsel, Senior Vice President at BIP Capital.
