Patient Information
The patient, a female, was admitted for treatment due to recurrent palpitations over six months, diagnosed with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. After a comprehensive preoperative evaluation, no significant abnormalities were found in the atrial structure, and there was no left atrial thrombosis, meeting the indications for atrial fibrillation pulsed field ablation (PFA). After communicating with the patient’s family, it was decided to proceed with the procedure usingShineyoMedical RhythPulse®-PFA Pulsed Electric Field AblationTreat patients.
Surgical Procedure
The surgery was performed under local anesthesia. After atrial septal puncture, the pulsed ablation catheter was replaced, adopting ShineyoMedical's RhythPulse.®Pulmonary vein isolation was performed using a 15mm diameter circular pulsed electric field ablation catheter, followed by pacing verification, achieving bidirectional block of pulmonary vein potentials. The total procedure time was approximately 70 minutes, with only 30 minutes of actual left atrial operation time. No complications occurred during the procedure, and the surgery was successfully completed. After the surgery, the patient was safely returned to the ward with good postoperative recovery.
