Gathering to Discuss Healthcare Matters, Joining Hands to Advance the Healthy China Strategy

During this one-and-a-half-day summit, InterSystems showcased how to explore information-sharing-based healthcare innovation through its core product portfolio at the main forum, “Empowering Borderless Healthcare.” Two sub-forums—“Empowering Ultra-Fast Development” and “Empowering High-Quality Healthcare”—highlighted “the fastest development path with the InterSystems IRIS Data Platform” and demonstrated how InterSystems TrakCare empowers clinical practice and serves both providers and patients under the “patient-centric” philosophy. Together, these three forums provided a comprehensive interpretation of InterSystems’ vision for China’s healthcare informatization construction under the “Ultra-Fast · Limitless” concept, expressing the company’s commitment to working alongside Chinese partners and healthcare institutions to effectively accelerate the implementation of the Healthy China strategy.

Discussing InterSystems’ strategy and outlook in the healthcare industry, Paul Grabscheid, Vice President of Strategic Planning at InterSystems, pointed out in his keynote address: “With the continuous advancement of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, the way we use data has changed, and our approach to thinking about data is also evolving. Data interoperability and connectivity are driving the creation of a new generation of applications, thereby transforming how data is utilized. The true power of data lies in its capacity for education, predictive analytics, and enabling people to unlock greater value through data mining. A growing number of stakeholders recognize the importance of data in medical devices and leverage this data for everything from prediction to optimizing device usage. As professionals in the healthcare industry, we must harness the power of data to serve and help patients.”

How to effectively drive the sharing and value extraction of healthcare data through technological and model innovation has become one of the primary objectives of current medical informatization. The establishment of regional (provincial and prefecture-level) health and medical big data centers helps link and integrate various healthcare service systems within the region, enabling interoperability and sharing of diverse health and medical data, thereby offering numerous benefits.

In this regard, Gao Chuangui, Vice President of Inspur Group, which has just signed a cooperation agreement with InterSystems, stated in his summit speech: “In recent years, Inspur Group has fully transformed into a new type of internet company focused on “Cloud + Data + AI.” Leveraging its leading advantages in government cloud, big data technologies, and industry experience, the company is rapidly developing health and medical big data services, striving to become China’s leading platform service operator. Through in-depth cooperation with the government, Inspur is assisting provinces and cities such as Jinan (Shandong), Tianjin, and Inner Mongolia in building health and medical big data platforms. Under government authorization, it continuously aggregates regional data, breaks down information silos, and promotes the integration and sharing of various data resources. While ensuring data security, personal privacy, and regulatory compliance, Inspur collaborates with diverse ecosystem partners to develop big data and artificial intelligence services, unlocking data value. Adopting a “Platform + Ecosystem” model, it provides innovative internet-based medical and health services and value-added data platform services to governments, residents, enterprises, and medical institutions, thereby establishing a sustainable platform service operation model.
