As part of this funding round, Kareem Elsirafy, Partner at Modus Capital, will join Meddy as a new member of its Board of Directors.
Meddy, founded in 2014, is a physician appointment platform company headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The platform currently operates in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, dedicated to helping patients find physicians who meet their criteria and needs. Users can search for primary care services (such as internal medicine and OB/GYN) and specialty care services (such as urology and endocrinology).
The funds from this round of financing will be used to expand the company’s business presence in the United Arab Emirates. Currently, the company operates in Dubai and Sharjah, while the new capital will help extend its reach to Abu Dhabi and other emirates.
Haris Aghadi, CEO of Meddy, said, “Over the past six months, our booking volume and supplier network in the UAE have more than doubled. This gives us greater momentum to stay committed to our mission of helping patients make informed healthcare decisions.”
Kareem Elsirafy stated, “We believe Meddy is an emerging leader in providing booking services for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) clinics. Haris and the company’s team have demonstrated a clear understanding of customer needs. The positive feedback and value-added services provided by Meddy have laid a solid foundation for regional development. We are pleased to invest in Meddy and look forward to continuing our support in the future.”
