On November 7, at the second China International Import Expo, Boehringer Ingelheim, a leading global multinational pharmaceutical company, joined forces with Jianke and several other domestic internet healthcare platforms to fully integrate with China’s “Internet + Healthcare” ecosystem, supporting the Healthy China 2030 initiative.
It is understood that Boehringer Ingelheim and Jianke will focus on numerous chronic disease treatment areas, collaborating across internet healthcare, pharmaceutical distribution, disease management, and patient-physician education. This partnership aims to enable patients to fully enjoy one-stop medical convenience services brought by internet healthcare, including online consultations, electronic prescriptions, medication dispensing, and access to cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic information.
On that day, Feng Naide, Head of Human Pharmaceuticals at Boehringer Ingelheim Greater China, and Xie Fangmin, CEO of Jianke, jointly signed a strategic cooperation agreement. This signifies that both parties will fully leverage their respective strengths in the pharmaceutical healthcare and internet medical sectors, taking a significant step forward together in the field of “Internet + Healthcare.”

Bridging Diagnosis and Medication Consultation: Collaborating to Manage Chronic Diseases Effectively
Data indicate that, with economic development and the accelerating pace of life, the number of people living with chronic diseases in China has reached approximately 300 million. According to the latest data released by the State Council, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes account for more than 70% of the total disease burden attributable to chronic diseases in China, while deaths caused by chronic diseases constitute 88% of all deaths. The recently issued “Healthy China Action (2019–2030)” explicitly calls for prevention and control initiatives targeting four major chronic diseases—cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes—to address this severe public health challenge.
The state’s emphasis on chronic disease management has fueled rapid growth in internet healthcare. The rise of internet hospitals has integrated key processes such as online consultations, electronic prescriptions, and medication delivery, not only bringing greater convenience to patients with chronic conditions but also enhancing the accessibility of medications and treatment regimens, thereby providing stronger support and assurance for China’s healthcare environment in chronic disease management.

It is reported that this collaborative project will fully integrate clinical diagnosis and treatment with pharmaceutical services, ensuring high-quality treatment plans for patients while providing a stable channel for drug supply. Furthermore, Boehringer Ingelheim and Jianke will leverage their respective strengths in the internet hospital sector, aiming to disseminate cutting-edge international diagnostic and therapeutic concepts to more healthcare professionals, and to deliver accurate science-based information on disease prevention and control to chronic disease patients and their families.
Today, Jianke Internet Hospital has emerged as one of the leading enterprises in China’s internet healthcare industry. Its affiliated institutions—including the Jianke Internet Hospital of Tumxuk City People’s Hospital in Xinjiang, Guangzhou Jingtai Jianke Internet Hospital, and Dongguan Taixin Jianke Internet Hospital—have all obtained internet hospital licenses and commenced operations.
Xie Fangmin, CEO of Jianke, stated at the conference, “We are delighted to have signed a cooperation agreement with Boehringer Ingelheim during the China International Import Expo. Adhering to its mission of ‘Making Everyone Healthier,’ Jianke has been providing one-stop smart healthcare services to the public. The Jianke Doctor platform currently hosts over 100,000 registered physicians, offering services such as text-based consultations, video consultations, online prescription and medication purchase, online follow-up visits, medication guidance, and health education, cumulatively serving more than ten million patients. Meanwhile, Jianke has established strategic partnerships with numerous renowned pharmaceutical companies both domestically and internationally, boasting extensive management experience and robust technical support. We are highly confident in our deepened collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim and hope that this partnership will facilitate more high-quality projects, continuously advancing the development of internet healthcare in China.”
Digital Healthcare Empowers Chronic Disease Management: Medical Scenarios Extend from Hospitals to Homes
Currently, under the “medical + pharmaceutical” smart healthcare service closed loop, Jianke is comprehensively driving development with mobile healthcare as its leading force. Jianke will place greater emphasis on technological investment and genuinely apply AI technology to the practical management of chronic diseases. The AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment system, independently developed by Jianke’s technical team, helps physicians better serve patients while collecting and analyzing patients’ full-lifecycle data and updating electronic chronic disease management records in real time. This not only improves the efficiency of online follow-up consultations but also enables synchronized sharing with partners, thereby facilitating their feedback for new drug development and the establishment of innovative treatment solutions.
Commenting on this collaboration, Xie Fangmin, CEO of Jianke, stated, “Boehringer Ingelheim is a leader in multiple therapeutic areas, including respiratory, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular, and endocrine diseases. We bring to the table a team of contracted licensed physicians and professional pharmacists, channels for online consultations, medication purchasing, health management, and mobile healthcare, as well as cutting-edge technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence. This partnership represents both complementarity and innovation. Together, we are committed to further improving drug accessibility, extending high-quality medical care to broader populations, and ultimately benefiting patients.”
