2019 Third International Health Finance Summit: Advancing Value-Based Healthcare and Payment Innovation in China

Co-hosted by the Shanghai Health Development Research Center, the School of Management at Fudan University, the Shanghai Federation of Modern Service Industries, and iShankang, and in close collaboration with enterprises such as Pfizer, Merck, MetLife, RGAX, Neusoft Wanghai, and Nuohui Medical, this conference delves into the most cutting-edge and high-potential topics in the field of “Health Insurance Reform and Payment Innovation.” Together, we have invited over 60 renowned domestic and international leaders and scholars to gather at Fudan University to explore the boundless possibilities of inclusive healthcare in China.
Meanwhile, this conference received strong support from the Phoenix New Media Finance Research Institute, the Health Finance Research Office of the School of Management at Fudan University, the Health Services Professional Committee of the Shanghai Modern Service Industry Federation, and numerous mainstream industry media outlets.
Marking the tenth anniversary of healthcare reform, this year’s conference features four major thematic segments, offering in-depth discussions on policy trends and industry hotspots. Topics covered include: the “4+7” volume-based drug procurement program, market access and payment innovations for innovative drugs, Diagnosis-Related Groups (DRGs), integrated care, commercial insurance innovation, development of a multi-tiered medical security system, empowerment through insurtech, integrated management of chronic diseases, and improving accessibility to oncology and rare disease medications. To address these cutting-edge issues, the conference has invited domestic and international policy researchers to share profound insights, selected leading pioneers of innovative pilot programs from home and abroad to present best practices, and brought together experts from industry, academia, research institutions, and government sectors across disciplines to explore future collaboration and development.
At the conference, Ascend Health and the Health Finance Research Lab of Fudan University’s School of Management will jointly release the white paper “Value-Based Healthcare in China: Driving Industry Collaboration and Business Model Innovation to Accelerate Healthcare System Transformation,” providing a practical blueprint for cross-sector collaboration in the development of value-based healthcare in China.
