From November 15 to 17, the 13th China Hospital Presidents Annual Conference, themed “Iteration in a Great Era,” was grandly held in Xiamen. Experts participating in the roundtable discussion illustrated pathways for industry upgrading under the new landscape through a series of compelling case studies. Among them, Gu Xin, Professor at the School of Public Affairs, Zhejiang University, and Chief Expert at the Institute for Social Governance, argued that scaling up third-party services can effectively reduce costs amid the broader trend of cost containment. Zhang Qiang, Founder and CEO of Zhang Qiang Doctor Group, posited that third-party imaging services offer faster turnaround, superior service, and more accurate diagnoses, holding significant promise for the future.

At the sub-forum titled “Healthcare Reinvention: From Disease Diagnosis and Treatment to Disease Management,” He Jiangxue, Director of the Laboratory Management Department at Shenzhen Ping An Good Doctor Medical Laboratory, drew on the medical laboratory management expertise accumulated by Japan’s SRL Corporation. From a micro-level perspective, he shared measures to enhance medical laboratory services and discussed their significance for building a Healthy China.

The exhibition site also featured a VR real-scene experience of the “Mobile Health Screening Vehicle.” Since participating in Ping An Group’s “Three Villages Project” for village doctors in 2018, Ping An Healthcare (Screening) Centers have leveraged the model of “Mobile Health Screening Vehicles + Renowned Physician Outreach Clinics,” bringing together authoritative medical teams and cutting-edge diagnostic equipment. By harnessing the power of technology, they have delivered high-quality health screening services to residents in impoverished areas. To date, their outreach has spanned nine provinces and municipalities, including Guangxi, Jiangxi, Hubei, Chongqing, and Shandong, providing over 500 free clinic sessions and serving nearly 90,000 impoverished villagers. Additionally, actively responding to the major Belt and Road Initiative, they have formed international volunteer teams to conduct overseas screening services for congenital heart disease and cardiovascular conditions in children.


It is precisely due to its outstanding contributions in areas such as implementing targeted poverty alleviation and leveraging technology to empower public welfare that Ping An Healthcare (Testing) Center was honored with the “Social Responsibility Award for Meritorious Units in China’s Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Enterprises – Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China” at this conference.
