Head of New Product Development, Haleon (China) Co., Ltd.

Zhao Jiangqiong holds a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutics from Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and a Ph.D. from the University of Montpellier, France. Dr. Zhao has accumulated nearly 20 years of extensive experience in research and development within large global multinational pharmaceutical companies. She currently serves as the Head of New Product Development for the Pain Care category at Haleon (China) and concurrently holds the position of Academic Committee Member at the Peking University Medicine–Haleon Joint Laboratory for Pain Science. Dr. Zhao previously worked at the Johnson & Johnson Asia Pacific R&D Center, the Johnson & Johnson Sweden R&D Center, and the GSK China R&D Center, as well asWuXi AppTec, she has served as Head of R&D Portfolio and Innovation, Head of APAC Analytics, and Technical Manager, among other roles. She has demonstrated excellence in drug innovation and development across multiple therapeutic areas, including pain management, dermatology, respiratory diseases, and smoking cessation. She has successfully led or co-led the development of numerous new products, covering all stages from early developability studies, formulation and process development, analytical and quality development, and clinical research, to manufacturing scale-up and post-launch improvement projects. She has delivered multiple generic and innovative drugs and has published numerous academic papers and patents. Dr. Zhao has accumulated extensive end-to-end R&D experience across all phases of the drug development lifecycle and possesses over ten years of experience in managing R&D teams. Her expertise lies in formulating drug innovation strategies, drug R&D, technology transfer, risk management, and project management.
