PharmCube has learned that Suzhou Sinus Medical Technology Co., Ltd. ("Sinus") recently completed an over RMB 100 million Series A round of financing. This round of financing was jointly led by Capital China and Sherpa Healthcare Partners, with follow-on investments from Oriza Seed Fund, CD Capital, Zhongxin Capital, and SIP Science and Technology Innovation Fund, supporting Sinus in global innovation of its medical products and patient benefits.
Sinus's core product, the "Interventricular Septum Radiofrequency Ablation System," has entered the special review process for innovative medical devices in China and received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation, with its clinical value gaining authoritative recognition. The product utilizes the PHASE procedure (Percutaneous Helical Ablation of Septal Hypertrophy), integrating mature pacemaker electrode technology with cold saline ablation to achieve percutaneous, precise, and minimally invasive interventricular septal myocardial ablation. This provides an innovative alternative to surgical operations and alcohol ablation for approximately 15 million patients worldwide with obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Currently, clinical enrollment has been initiated at several institutions, including Beijing Anzhen Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University and Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital affiliated with Zhejiang University School of Medicine, with the product’s quality and clinical value being authoritatively validated. This round of financing will fully promote the scaled clinical adoption and international cooperation of the product, accelerating the resolution of long-unmet clinical needs in this field and enabling safe and effective innovative therapies to benefit more patients.
