January 23, 2026Ribo Life Science(06938.HK)Announcement, the companyRBD5044, a self-developed siRNA drug targeting ApoC3, obtained on January 22, 2026National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) Implied Permission for Phase II Clinical Trials

RBD5044 is a small nucleic acid drug developed based on the RiboGalSTAR™ liver-targeting technology platform for the treatment of hypertriglyceridemia. The Second siRNA Targeting ApoC3 to Enter Clinical Development Globally. The results of the existing Phase I clinical trials show that a single dose can achieve apolipoprotein C3 (ApoC3)Up to 84% significant inhibition, accompanied by a reduction in triglyceride (TG) levels of up to 70%. During the 6-month follow-up period, the subjects' TG levels remained stably below 50% of the baseline. Additionally, the subjects showed comprehensive improvement in blood lipids. Meanwhile, RBD5044 demonstrated good tolerability, with no dose-dependent adverse reactions or elevation of liver enzymes observed even at the highest dose. Clinical data on safety and efficacy indicate that RBD5044 has the potential to become a Best-in-Class therapy.

October 2024,RBD5044 Granted Phase II Clinical Trial Authorization by the European Medicines Agency (EMA)Relevant trials are currently being conducted among patients with mixed dyslipidemia in Sweden. With the policy support of the National Medical Products Administration's "Announcement on Optimizing the Review and Approval of Clinical Trials for Innovative Drugs," RBD5044 has been successfully included in the "30-working-day review and approval" fast track and has been approved. Ribo Life Science will accelerate the Phase II clinical research of RBD5044 in China, striving to bring more precise, long-acting, and safer small nucleic acid therapeutic options to patients with hypertriglyceridemia (HTG) as soon as possible.
