The 21st century is the century of life sciences. In recent years, the pace of biotechnological development has surpassed a critical threshold for an innovation explosion, with an increasing number of revolutionary technological breakthroughs emerging in the field of life sciences. Today, the convergence of three factors—policy environment, technological landscape, and demand potential—is poised to drive new growth in the expansion and strengthening of China’s big health industry. This incremental growth often signals that the big health industry is entering an entirely new stage.

The following is“2019 Future Healthcare 100 Conference · Biotechnology Forum”Detailed Agenda
Moderator: Qi Fei | Vice President of Investment at Legend Capital
Module 1:China’s Biotechnology and New Drug R&D Through the Eyes of Top Investors
Guest:Hong Tan | Managing Director, Legend Capital
Proposed Agenda:Biotechnology Innovation and Investment
Medical advancements and breakthroughs in pharmaceuticals and medical technologies have reached unprecedented levels, with expectations that this potential for long-term innovation will endure. Driven by sustained R&D expenditure, new drug discoveries, and other recent scientific breakthroughs, the biotechnology industry is poised to seize significant opportunities in the coming years.
Guest:Yu Wenxin | Chief Analyst at Haitong Securities
Proposed Agenda:Macro Trend Analysis of the Biotechnology Industry: Where Do the Next Wave of Opportunities in Biotech Lie?
Life sciences are currently advancing at a remarkable pace that far exceeds human expectations. In an era where the third biotechnology revolution is rapidly unfolding, it is increasingly difficult to predict where the next wave of biotechnological opportunities will emerge and what transformations they will bring about.
Module 2: Genetic Testing and Immunotherapy—Ushering in the Era of Precision Oncology
Guest:Jin Ge | CEO, Rendong Medical
Proposed Agenda:Dilemmas and Breakthroughs for Entrepreneurs in the Tumor Genetic Testing Industry
In the fight against cancer, tumor immunotherapy is increasingly demonstrating its unique advantages due to its distinctive efficacy and applicability across multiple cancer types. In recent years, as the number of immunotherapies has grown, how is tumor immunotherapy advancing toward precision?
Guest:Zhou Jun | CEO of He Rui Gene
Proposed Agenda:NGS-Based Early Screening and Diagnosis of Cancer: Practical Pathways and Major Advances
Huirui Gene pioneered the layout of early cancer screening at its inception and has achieved remarkable results in this field. In April 2018, in collaboration with the National Center for Liver Cancer Science and Nanfang Hospital, it jointly launched the Precar project, a nationwide, multicenter, prospective cohort study involving 10,000 participants for the ultra-early warning and screening of liver cancer. This liver cancer early screening project, led by Academician Wang Hongyang and Professor Hou Jinlin, achieved a milestone breakthrough in September 2019. Additionally, in April of this year, Huirui Gene partnered with the team of Academician Wang Jun from Peking University People’s Hospital to launch a lung cancer early screening project. Huirui Gene continues to advance genetic testing for mid-to-late stage cancers and conduct research projects on the early screening and diagnosis of other malignancies, such as gynecological tumors, thereby helping to further elevate the level of cancer prevention and control in China.
Guest:Li Hangwen | Founder of SteadyMed Therapeutics
Proposed Agenda:Therapeutic Cancer Vaccines: New Opportunities Brought by Neoantigens
Can cancer patients truly receive personalized treatment? The ability to access medications that are effective for them has always been a concern for every patient and represents the ultimate goal of oncology care. What solutions do therapeutic cancer vaccines offer to address this challenge?
Guest:He Ting | CEO of ImmuneOnco
Proposed Agenda:New Sprouts on an Old Tree: The Current Status, Obstacles, and Approaches of Cell Therapy in China
Cancer arises when most cells in the human body begin to divide uncontrollably. With advances in science and technology, we have entered the microscopic world and begun seeking cures for such diseases from a cellular and molecular perspective. Nearly two centuries have passed since the earliest cell therapies; what is the current state of development for cell therapy in China?
Module 3: Life and Health Are Undergoing Revolutionary Changes Driven by Innovative Biotechnology
Guest:Jiang Zhi | Golden Key GenomicsCEO
Proposed Agenda:TBD
About Jiang Zhi: In 2009, he obtained a Ph.D. in Cell Biology from Peking University and joined BGI Genomics. In March 2011, he left BGI Genomics and returned to Beijing to co-found Novogene. At the end of 2018,Appointed asCEO of Jinshi Gene, willNGS Pathogenic Microorganism Detection as a Business Direction.
Guest:Tan Yan | Founder and CEO, Shenzhen XBiome Biotechnology Co., Ltd.
Proposed Agenda:The Microbiome: A New Frontier in Pharmaceutical Innovation
The moment infants leave the sterile environment of the womb, they not only enter a vibrant world but also acquire their first microbial community. Since 2007, scientists have demonstrated the associations between gut microbiota and various aspects of human health. Growing evidence now highlights the links between microbes and tumor immunity, metabolic diseases, and autoimmune disorders. What development opportunities does the microbiome field face under the leadership of the new round of technological revolution?
