Guokong Taimin and Sinopharm Online Unveil 'Yuzhong District Chronic Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Cloud Platform' at the 82nd National Pharmaceutical Trade Fair

From December 4 to December 6, 2019, the 82nd National Pharmaceutical Trade Fair (abbreviated as “Pharma Fair”), hosted by Sinopharm Re exhibition Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation, was grandly held at the Chongqing Yuelai International Expo Center. During the event, the “Yuzhong District Chronic Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Platform,” jointly developed by Guokong Taimin, Sinopharm Online, and the People’s Government of Yuzhong District, Chongqing, made a stunning debut and attracted widespread attention.

“Pharma Trade Fair” is a large-scale and influential professional event in China’s pharmaceutical formulations and broader health industry. With a history spanning over 40 years, it has been successfully held 81 times to date. This year’s exhibition will feature more than 2,000 pharmaceutical companies, with an exhibition area exceeding 50,000 square meters. It has attracted participants from nearly 30 provinces, municipalities, and regions across China, drawing a diverse audience including government investment promotion agencies, pharmaceutical brands, chain pharmacies, community clinics, distributors, agents, e-commerce purchasers, and decision-makers.

Our booth is prominently located at the North Gate of the Central Hall. Featuring a white-dominated design accented with the Sinopharm logo and the blue slogan “Caring for Life, Protecting Health,” it presents a grand and impressive appearance that comprehensively showcases the brand image of Sinopharm Group.

At around 10:00 a.m., Liu Jingzhen, Party Secretary and Chairman of China National Pharmaceutical Group (Sinopharm), attended the opening ceremony and participated in the ribbon-cutting. He subsequently visited our company’s booth for inspection and guidance, accompanied by Xia Xiaoping, General Manager of Sinopharm Taimin. After listening to the project report, Mr. Liu expressed his approval.

According to Zhang Qinhong, the project leader, “the Yuzhong District Chronic Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Cloud Platform is a new pilot initiative under the ‘Internet + Healthcare’ framework, jointly developed with the People’s Government of Yuzhong District, Chongqing Municipality, in accordance with relevant national policy directives and in response to the national call for tiered diagnosis and treatment and the equitable, convenient access to high-quality medical resources. Upholding Sinopharm Group’s core philosophy of ‘Caring for Life, Safeguarding Health,’ this project holds significant importance in advancing tiered diagnosis and treatment for patients with chronic and special diseases, facilitating the sharing of related resources among healthcare institutions within the region, meeting the needs for primary care and two-way referrals, and improving convenience for these patients in accessing medical services and medications.”

Built upon the regional medical information sharing platform, this system establishes a collaborative three-tier hierarchical diagnosis and treatment framework linking city, district, and community levels. Patients can easily communicate with professional doctors via mobile devices, access specialist consultations, and enjoy a more considerate and convenient healthcare experience. Online follow-up visits, prescription renewals, and medication consultations are faster and more accessible. Electronic prescriptions, chronic disease management, rational drug use, and drug traceability enhance pharmaceutical care capabilities. The central smart pharmacy and automated medication dispensers make medicines readily available, creating a new model of safe, manageable, and controllable pharmaceutical services that bring significant benefits to patients.

On the first day of the exhibition, the project attracted heads from over 50 entities, including medical institutions, pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, regional distributors, and branded chain pharmacies, who expressed interest in collaboration. A consensus was reached to further advance cooperation and replicate and promote the “Yuzhong District Chronic Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Cloud Platform” across China. Meanwhile, more than five local governments expressed interest in investment promotion and were willing to engage in deeper negotiations. This exhibition further enhanced the brand image of Sinopharm Group and facilitated exchanges and cooperation within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.
