On January 21, 2026, the "Arrhythmia-AccuPulse Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center," jointly established by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Hangzhou Binjiang District Zhejiang Second Hospital Vascular Implant Device Research Institute, and AccuPulse Medical Technology Co., Ltd., was officially inaugurated. The center will focus on promoting the deep integration of clinical needs with artificial intelligence technology and establishing a "production, education, research, and medical" collaborative innovation system. Wang Lisheng, Deputy Director of Hangzhou High-tech Zone Management Committee; Wang Jian'an, Academician and President of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine; Sun Jun, Director of the Science and Technology Bureau of Hangzhou High-tech Zone (Binjiang); Ji Jian, Executive Vice Dean of the Vascular Implant Device Research Institute; Jiang Jun, Vice Dean of the Vascular Implant Device Research Institute; and Yin Jie, founder of AccuPulse, jointly unveiled the plaque for the center. Representatives from all parties and all colleagues of the institute gathered to witness this occasion.

Deputy Director Wang Lisheng, on behalf of the District Committee and the District Government, extended congratulations on the establishment of the center. Academician Wang Jian'an pointed out in his speech that this is a new starting point carrying the original aspiration and dreams. The essence of innovation is to answer questions that others have not answered and solve problems that previous generations have not resolved. In the field of arrhythmia diagnosis and treatment, we must directly face clinical pain points and provide patients with more precise and minimally invasive solutions. He emphasized that Zhejiang University Second Hospital will leverage the advantages of a top clinical diagnosis and treatment center to provide rich clinical data and key issues, forming a joint force with the platform support of the research institute and government policies. Together, they will overcome key AI technologies, accelerate the transformation of results, cultivate interdisciplinary medical-engineering talents, and ultimately benefit a wide range of patients, contributing to the development of China's healthcare industry.

Jian Ji, the standing vice president, pointed out that the establishment of the Innovation Center is a key measure to implement the annual development policy of the institute. He stated that the institute will actively play the role of a platform bridge, focus on clinical practical issues such as intelligent modeling of intracardiac ultrasound, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements through the deepening of collaborative innovation mechanisms, and contribute to the development of the regional life and health industry.

Yin Jie, representative of the partner company, stated that the innovation center will be built into an open R&D platform driven by clinical needs and characterized by multidisciplinary integration. All parties will jointly promote the deep integration of AI technology with cardiac electrophysiology, develop an intelligent technology system covering the entire diagnosis and treatment cycle, enhance the precision and minimally invasive level of medical services, and better serve patient needs.
