Endodontists form a network of providers

Veronis Suhler Stevenson

An investment institution focused on key growth industries in the mid-to-low-end market

VCBeat (WeChat ID: vcbeat) has learned that on December 10, 2019, local time, Veronis Suhler Stevenson (“VSS”), a private investment firm focusing on the healthcare, information, business services, and education sectors, announced a recapitalization of Endo1 Partners, a fast-growing dental specialty services organization headquartered in Houston. VSS completed this investment in collaboration with co-founders Dr. Matthew Haddad, Dr. Daryl Dudum, Dr. Mark Haddad, and Dr. Darron Rishwain. The terms of this private transaction were not disclosed.

Endo1, founded in 2019 with operations in Texas and California, provides dentists nationwide with comprehensive knowledge, resources, and shared back-office support through its Endodontic Partner Organization (“EPO”). Endo1’s offerings enable dentists to deliver best-in-class patient care and operational excellence in their core specialties—including the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of endodontic conditions—such as root canal therapy and other treatments related to the interior of the tooth. According to industry data, with investment from Veronis Suhler Stevenson (VSS), Endo1 will accelerate market expansion through strategic acquisitions of complementary root canal therapy practices. This large and highly fragmented market is currently valued at $1.3 billion, is projected to grow at an annual rate of 5.5%, and is expected to reach $1.6 billion by 2022.

“We are delighted to partner with Matthew, Daryl, Mark, and Darron as they continue to build a nationwide EPO platform that expands treatment options for endodontic patients while significantly reducing administrative and operational burdens,” said Jeffrey Stevenson, Managing Partner at VSS. “Our investment in Endo1 aligns with VSS’s strategy of supporting experienced healthcare executives in elevating their businesses through flexible capital solutions.”
