【Pharmaceutical Network Industry DynamicsBy January 2026, at least 10 companies in China dedicated to innovative drugs (including biologics, small-molecule innovative drugs, and cutting-edge technologies) have announced the completion of a new round of financing. The majority of these companies will use the funds for innovative drug development and pipeline advancement.

On January 26, Neowise Biotechnology, a company focused on the development of TCR-T immunotherapy drugs for solid tumors, announced that it had recently completed a Series B financing round exceeding 200 million yuan. The funds from this round will mainly be used to advance clinical research for core pipelines and to push forward multiple pre-clinical pipelines, accelerating the process of bringing the company's innovative drugs to clinical trials, commercialization, and international expansion.

It is reported that the company has advanced multiple pipelines to the clinical trial stage. In clinical trials targeting various solid tumors, positive efficacy and good safety have been observed. For instance, NW-101C, a TCR-T cell therapy candidate drug independently developed by the company targeting PRAME, has shown positive efficacy in various end-stage solid tumors. It is currently undergoing Phase I registrational clinical studies, with indications including ovarian cancer, malignant melanoma, esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, triple-negative breast cancer, etc.

News on January 23: CORXEL announced that it has recently completed a $287 million D1 financing round. The proceeds from this round will mainly be used to advance the development of its pipeline candidate CX11, as well as other cardiometabolic projects, including pipeline developments for acute ischemic stroke and hypertension.

According to reports, CX11 is an oral small-molecule GLP-1RA with unique advantages. CORXEL is currently conducting a Phase 2 clinical trial in the United States for its treatment of obesity and overweight patients, while its partner, NewDEL Biotech, is carrying out a Phase 3 clinical trial in China.

January 20: NewDEL Biotech Completes Tens of Millions of Yuan in A++ Round Financing. The company focuses on the deep development and application of DNA Encoded Library (DEL) technology, committed to empowering and advancing innovative drug research and development with distinctive technologies. Its DEL live-cell screening platform can effectively screen membrane proteins that are difficult to express and purify, expanding the range of targets and increasing the hit rate for new drug screening.

In addition to the above companies, Anlong, Oricell Therapeutics, Ribo Biotech, and Genhouse Pharma have also recently completed financing ranging from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of yuan. These intensive financings fully demonstrate the market's continued attention to innovative drugs. Notably, most of the companies receiving financing possess clear and cutting-edge technology platforms (such as ADC, cell therapy, protein degradation, gene editing, etc.) rather than a single drug candidate; this indicates that capital favors companies capable of continuously producing pipelines.

In addition, the prominence of Series B and subsequent mid-to-late stage financing cases also shows that capital is more inclined toward "promising stocks" with initial clinical validation, and is increasing investment to help advance their pivotal clinical studies.

In this regard, industry analysts believe that the financing market in 2026 is expected to show characteristics of both rationality and enthusiasm. Capital will focus more on innovative pharmaceutical companies with hardcore technologies, clear global strategies, and clinical differentiation potential. At the same time, enterprises that truly possess innovative capabilities will also gain an edge in this round of industry upgrading.
