In response to the national mandate to resolutely win the battle against the epidemic and the initiative to “fully leverage information platforms and provide online consultation services,” Jianke, a leading online medical and health service management platform in China, has launched services including online follow-up consultations with prescription renewals and home delivery of medications. Additionally, it has established a dedicated section for online prescription renewals for chronic diseases on its self-operated platform to further ensure that patients with chronic conditions have access to necessary medications during the epidemic.
This service is jointly launched by Jianke and 12 well-known domestic and international pharmaceutical companies, including AstraZeneca, Novartis, Bayer, Sanofi, and Gilead. It provides prescription renewal services for 170,000 medications across 10 chronic disease specialties, with home delivery via SF Express’s dedicated air freight service.
Jianke pioneered the establishment of 10 chronic disease specialty clinics, covering cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, diabetes, hepatobiliary disorders, neurology, osteoarticular conditions, respiratory diseases, dermatology, gastrointestinal disorders, andrology, and gynecology.
It is understood that Jianke’s online prescription renewal service offers three key guarantees: 1. Guarantee of authenticity, with direct supply partnerships with pharmaceutical manufacturers to ensure quality and competitive pricing; 2. Protection of health by eliminating the need for hospital visits, thereby avoiding cross-infection; 3. Assurance of medication access through a comprehensive product range. During the epidemic, Jianke will provide maximum health protection to users with medication needs, helping them address challenges related to medical consultations and drug purchases.
In 2020, Jianke began to advance into the new strategic phase of the Hospital-to-Home (H2H) smart pharmaceutical ecosystem. From hospitals to homes, Jianke’s new strategy has achieved nearly comprehensive coverage of the pharmaceutical distribution ecosystem chain, demonstrating significant advantages during the pandemic.
Currently, Jianke offers an online selection of 680,000 SKUs of pharmaceutical products, with same-day delivery available in local cities. During the pandemic, it has become one of the most favored e-pharmacy platforms among users, with items such as face masks, disposable medical gloves, and alcohol sprays frequently selling out.
Meanwhile, Jianke has obtained medical practice licenses for three internet hospitals: Dongguan Taixin Jianke Internet Hospital, Guangzhou Jingtai Jianke Internet Hospital, and Xinjiang Tumushuke City People’s Hospital Jianke Internet Hospital. It collaborates with physicians from over 100,000 Grade A tertiary hospitals across China to provide a “first in-person consultation followed by online follow-up” model, offering services such as remote online consultations, electronic prescription issuance, and home delivery of medications.
By establishing a comprehensive online-to-offline infrastructure, Jianke has accelerated the development of multiple chronic disease management programs. For instance, during the Spring Festival, it collaborated with strategic pharmaceutical partners—including Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Merck, Bayer, Eli Lilly, CSPC Pharmaceutical Group, and Novo Nordisk—to launch a free online consultation zone for fever clinics. These efforts have actively provided patients with more personalized chronic disease management solutions and have been widely recognized by users.
Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Wuhan, Jianke has proactively fulfilled its corporate social responsibility by fully supporting epidemic prevention and control efforts. On the second day of the Lunar New Year, in collaboration with the Guangzhou EMBA Alumni Association of Peking University, Jianke donated a batch of face masks and funds, and organized employees to deliver these supplies to frontline healthcare workers at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, contributing modestly to the fight against the pandemic.
According to Xie Fangmin, CEO of Jianke, patients who already have a prescription can place an order through the Jianke Internet Hospital. Once the prescription is reviewed and approved by medical professionals, they can enjoy Jianke’s SF Express air delivery service. Patients with chronic diseases are encouraged to renew their prescriptions online via Jianke, allowing them to receive medications at home without leaving their residences. Unnecessary hospital visits should be avoided to prevent cross-infection, thereby reserving medical resources for emergency cases and alleviating the burden on physicians.
