During this epidemic, we have witnessed numerous cases of "technology-enabled epidemic control." The application of innovative technologies—such as intelligent robots, remote diagnosis, and real-time monitoring—has improved the efficiency of anti-epidemic efforts, reduced the risk of infection, and demonstrated the power of technology to the public. Among these contributors, Ximeng (China) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Ximeng Technology") supported frontline workers and shone with its own distinctive brilliance.
Ximeng Technology integrates R&D, production, sales, and services, specializing in medical informatics system integration, system solutions, medical equipment manufacturing and operations, and the development of healthcare-related technologies. Its developed “Smart Headband,” serving as a powerful tool for epidemic prevention, has made significant contributions to the fight against the pandemic.
On February 5, introduced by the Shenzhen Internet of Things Association, Ximeng Technology provided smart headbands to medical institutions such as the Shenzhen Futian Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Guangdong University of Chinese Medicine, Southern University of Science and Technology Hospital, and the centralized quarantine site in the Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen community, where they were rapidly deployed.
Yang Jiong, Chairman of Ximeng Technology, stated: “The smart headband is a medical-grade product capable of remotely and real-time monitoring vital sign parameters such as body temperature, blood oxygen saturation, heart rate, respiratory rate, and activity status.”
Temperature monitoring is one of the most essential measures during the pandemic; however, traditional measurement methods not only consume significant time and energy from healthcare workers, thereby reducing the efficiency of medical services, but also require physical contact between healthcare providers and patients, posing a substantial risk of cross-infection.
To address this challenge, the smart headband offers a viable solution. Yang Jiong introduced, “The smart headband is lightweight and needs only to be worn on the forehead. It connects to smartphones via Bluetooth, transmitting body temperature data in real time to both the patient’s mobile device and the hospital’s computer system, allowing both patients and healthcare providers to monitor vital signs in real time. Furthermore, these data can be uploaded to cloud services, facilitating statistical analysis, evaluation, and decision-making by medical administrative authorities at all levels.”

The application of smart headbands enables healthcare professionals to monitor each patient’s temperature changes in real time without frequent entry into and exit from hospital rooms, significantly reducing the risk of infection. Notably, the use of smart headbands enhances the work efficiency of healthcare staff, allowing them to deliver higher-value services.
The Shenzhen Internet of Things Association stated, “Following expert evaluation and certification, the medical-grade health monitoring headband independently developed by Ximeng Technology is recognized as one of the technologically advanced products suitable for community epidemic prevention.” Consequently, the smart headband has been promoted and applied in multiple communities to assist with community management.
Yang Jiong stated, “After the pandemic, smart headbands can also be used in scenarios such as home-based elderly care monitoring in communities and remote monitoring of rehabilitation therapy for stroke patients in hospitals.”
In the realm of remote monitoring for home-based elderly care and rehabilitation, smart headbands can connect to smartphones via Bluetooth to enable synchronized data updates. If an elderly person or patient at home experiences a health issue, the remote monitoring smartphone will immediately receive an alert SMS, helping to secure critical time for emergency treatment.
At this stage, Ximeng Technology's intelligent monitoring products have been applied in hundreds of communities across China.
In addition to smart headbands, Ximeng Technology has also developed a range of products including ECG devices, blood pressure monitors, hospital platforms, and remote diagnosis platforms. The ECG 2.0 device, developed by Ximeng Technology, integrates three operational modes—ECG, Holter monitoring, and cardiac monitoring—into a single unit, facilitating convenient and frequent home-based monitoring for patients.
Yang Jiong introduced, “The device is equipped with a remote monitoring system. When users feel unwell, they can make a one-touch call to the cloud, transmitting monitored ECG data to designated hospitals, family doctors, and other relevant institutions or personnel. Remote experts will promptly assess the situation and provide targeted guidance. In the event of severe arrhythmia, the device will automatically issue an emergency alert, providing healthcare professionals with the necessary time window to respond promptly to the patient’s condition.”
Ximeng Technology’s CIM Real-Time Intelligent Health Monitoring and Management System for hospitals is a comprehensive management platform that provides user management, vital signs monitoring, real-time surveillance, data reporting, remote diagnosis, and other services to medical institutions, communities, and similar organizations. Yang Jiong stated, “To date, Ximeng Technology has partnered with multiple hospitals, sub-districts, and communities, delivering health services to over 5,000 middle-aged and elderly individuals. This year, the service is expected to reach 20,000 people.”
As for the remote diagnosis platform, it is a platform specially built by Ximeng Technology for medical institutions to provide diagnostic services. The system not only supports the output of medical technology from high-level central hospitals but also assists in the diagnostic services of lower-level medical institutions, promoting the sinking of medical resources and achieving medical equality and resource sharing.
Yang Jiong stated, “Since its launch, the remote diagnosis platform has provided professional diagnostic services to tens of thousands of patients, significantly lowering the barrier to accessing advanced medical resources and saving patients the time and effort of traveling back and forth.”
ECG monitoring devices, blood pressure monitors, health surveillance management systems, remote diagnosis platforms... The innovative products successively developed by Ximeng Technology have been widely applied in hospitals, communities, households, and other scenarios. The development of these products is inseparable from its outstanding R&D team.
Ximeng Technology has built its development team around overseas Chinese scientists, comprising experts in bioengineering, computer hardware and software, communications, system integration, and healthcare. Seventeen team members hold doctoral degrees or senior professional titles. Furthermore, Ximeng Technology places a strong emphasis on scientific research and persistent innovation, continuously enriching its portfolio of real-time intelligent health monitoring products. The company is establishing a networked service ecosystem based on real-time intelligent monitoring, providing a robust data network platform and value-added services.
Yang Jiong stated, “Ximeng Technology has established R&D institutions—including software centers, hardware centers, and internet business divisions—in Nantong, Xi’an, Shenzhen, Beijing, and other cities. Meanwhile, Ximeng Technology also maintains overseas R&D facilities.”
To date, Ximeng Technology has applied for multiple intellectual property rights and invention patents, established the “CIM” brand, and emerged as a leader in the fields of intelligent monitoring and healthcare informatization.
