Reconstructing the Future: The 4th Annual Healthcare Investment Excellence Awards 2020 Unveiled

Since 2017, the Zhuoyue List has witnessed the growth of outstanding enterprises in China’s healthcare sector and the prominence of leading figures in investment and financing over the past four years. It has become a key barometer for assessing corporate market value and institutional brand influence within the healthcare investment industry.

This year’s rankings continue to adopt a third-party perspective. The “Company of the Year” award in the healthcare sector adheres to the long-standing principle of one vote per institution from previous Zhuoyue Rankings, with winners determined through real-name voting by authoritative judges. Awards such as “Fund of the Year for Best Investment Return,” “Investment Firm of the Year,” and “Healthcare Investor of the Year” are selected based on a comprehensive review of objective indicators—including investment activity, deal count, transaction volume, and investment returns—derived from publicly disclosed information and registration materials submitted by each institution. This year’s Zhuoyue Rankings have upgraded the overall list design, increasing the total number of awards to 14, thereby providing comprehensive coverage across different sub-sectors of healthcare companies and healthcare funds at various investment stages.

In 2020, the Zhuoyue Rankings adopted “Reconstruction” as the theme for its review and outlook of the healthcare investment market. Mr. Liu Hao, Founder and CEO of Joy Capital, pointed out that amid the current changes, following the “Breakthrough” of 2019, the dual tracks of “investment valuation reconstruction” and “industrial landscape reconstruction” would advance in tandem, becoming the central theme for the development of the healthcare industry in the new year.
