Danaher Announces Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2025 Results. Q4 revenue of $6.84 billion, an increase of approximately 5% year-over-year. Core revenue growth was approximately 3%. Life sciences accounted for the majority, within the diagnostics segment.Cepheid remains the most certain source of growth.

In 2025 Q4, Danaher's diagnostics business revenue reached $2.72 billion, a year-over-year increase of 3%, with core growth of approximately 2%.

Among them, Cepheid is significantly above average.

  • Q4 Respiratory Testing Revenue Approximately USD 500 Million

  • Non-respiratory Testing Revenue AchievementLow double-digit growth

  • STD Testing Increased by Approximately 30% Year-over-Year

  • Double-digit Growth Achieved in the Detection of Hospital-acquired Infections (HAI)

Cepheid Growth Logic:

Management emphasized that Cepheid's current growth comes from three reasons:

1) Continuously expand the test menu

2) Existing customers add testing items within the same medical network

3) Continue to install additional GeneXpert instruments in the same area.

Cepheid's growth path has shifted from "installation-driven" toInstallation + In-depth Menu Driven, with a relatively more stable growth quality.

Multiplex Testing

During Q4, Cepheid received FDA 510(k) clearance.Gastrointestinal Pathogen Multiplex Syndrome Panel

The product positioning is clear:

  • Reduce the Complexity of GI Testing Procedures

  • Improve the Efficiency of Medication Decision-Making for High-Risk Patients

  • Reduce the Risk of Outbreaks in Hospitals and Communities

This is another expansion by Cepheid in the field of multiplex testing, following the "four-in-one respiratory test" and sexually transmitted disease multiplex testing.

Full Year 2025:

  • Danaher Total Revenue 24.57 Billion USD, Up 3% Year-over-Year

  • Diagnostic revenue was $9.94 billion, an increase of nearly 2% year-over-year.

In the absence of pandemic-related benefits, Cepheid's full-year respiratory revenue remained at approximately $1.8 billion, while non-respiratory projects continued to gain momentum.

2026 Forecast

Danaher's forecast for 2026 is conservative:

  • Diagnostic Business: Low Single-Digit Growth

  • Respiratory revenue is expected to reach $1.8 billion, flat with 2025

  • Overall core revenue growth of 3%–6%

Management stated that the terminal market environment is expected to be similar to that of 2025 Q4:

  • Academic and government demand remains weak

  • Clinical and Applied Markets Remain Stable

  • Capital environment "has improved slightly, but not a strong recovery"

This earnings report shows Danaher's expectations for its diagnostics business:

  • Respiratory testing will no longer bring excessive growth.

  • Growth through Cepheid's Non-Respiratory Menu and Multiplex Testing

  • Relying on the installed base of GeneXpert, achieve growth that is "slow and steady"

In the current global economic downturn and the tight hospital budget environment,This low but steady growth is already quite worth celebrating for multinational IVD manufacturers.
