2020 was an extraordinary year, and perhaps we are standing at the dawn of a major transformation.

 

About Phase II


Unlike the registration for Phase I, Phase II will adopt a combination of open recruitment and targeted invitations, with a greater emphasis on targeted invitations. Recruitment commenced on April 20 and concluded on April 30.


Over the years, drawing from VCBeat’s extensive experience in reporting on and researching thousands of companies, we have accumulated valuable methodologies and insights into the development, transformation, innovation, and growth of the healthcare industry. Meanwhile, we have carefully selected our partners for the accelerator program: Shengshi Consulting, a boutique consulting firm specializing in the healthcare sector that is rapidly rising to prominence, with expertise in identifying and enhancing corporate and capital value; and Tan Zhen Capital, a leading boutique investment bank in China’s healthcare sector, which will contribute a systematic framework and structure for fundraising to the accelerator program, based on its continuous track record of closing healthcare financing deals.


By definition, we are all startups. This is what sets the Financing Accelerator Camp apart from other business schools, training institutions, and startup communities on the market:


We are not buyers in the capital market, which naturally establishes our position—Standing in the same trenches as our trainees will forge an unbreakable bond, enabling us to work together seamlessly toward a shared goal;


Our relationship with participants is not a dichotomous one of instructors delivering knowledge and learners absorbing it. By completing the structured curriculum alongside everyone throughout the program, we have defined the nature of our relationship—We embody both the role of mentors and that of students; we are kindred spirits.


We are not instructors of courses on corporate management, organizational structure, or strategic planning. Instead, we focus more on enhancing entrepreneurs’ understanding of industries and capital markets, as well as improving their fundraising capabilities—a strength at which we excel and that has gained market recognition. This also defines the ultimate outcome we strive to achieve—Every student will gain a solid framework for understanding the industry, with fundraising capabilities that meet the expectations of the capital market;

 

Finally, will the Accelerator Program become more focused or more comprehensive in the future? Since launching the Financing Accelerator Program in February 2020, we frankly have not yet reached a definitive conclusion—time will provide the answer. We remain committed to advancing this initiative, identifying key pain points within the healthcare industry and enterprises, doing our utmost to elucidate the underlying logic of financing for entrepreneurs, and consistently delivering high-quality solutions to challenges encountered throughout the process.

In the second cohort, we adjusted our model and significantly reduced the number of participants, which means we can provide more resources and support to each individual student.


To those who registered but were not selected for this acceleration camp, we thank you for your choice and support. We hope you understand that this was the result of a comprehensive evaluation; non-selection does not mean that you or your venture are not outstanding—it is simply a matter of timing (some applicants who were not selected in the previous cycle were ultimately accepted in the current one). You are also welcome to continue registering for our future programs.

This course is designed to help you develop professional expertise in fundraising by addressing these practical issues and details, fostering genuine growth for all participants.
