At the ceremony, representatives from all parties engaged in open dialogue and exchange, conveying their confidence in multi-faceted open cooperation and sharing their perspectives on the future prospects of the medical testing industry and the 5G internet information technology sector. It is believed that this collaboration will foster a favorable landscape characterized by enhanced mutual benefit and interoperability between the national health and information industries, thereby driving their respective development.
Dr. Zhang Wei, CEO of Guangzhou Jiajian Medical Testing Co., Ltd., stated, “With the increasingly widespread application of genomic testing technologies in the prevention and control of birth defects, and to better address the bottlenecks faced by clinical genomic testing, we aim to promote the domestication and localization of genomic testing. By leveraging the ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative and information technologies such as 5G, along with cross-regional and multi-center collaboration, we seek to maximize the advantages of specialized clinical genetics departments and establish an international standard system for the prevention and control of birth defects.”
Chen Yanyan, General Manager of the Healthcare Industry Division at China Telecom Guangzhou Branch, stated that the key features of 5G—high bandwidth, low latency, and massive connectivity—align well with the current project needs of Jiajian Medical. Today’s strategic signing ceremony reflects the complementary strengths of both parties. By leveraging 5G transmission, cloud computing, and other technologies, China Telecom is adding new value to Jiajian’s products. Both sides hope to actively explore new cooperation platforms, further optimize resource utilization through innovative mechanisms, achieve end-to-end collaboration and comprehensive focus, elevate the level of strategic partnership, and realize a new leap in strategic development.
Jiang Jun, Deputy General Manager of China Unicom Qingyuan Branch, stated that Unicom had established a Guangdong medical base in 2016 to provide informatization services to 200 hospitals, and expressed hope to collaborate with Guangzhou Jiajian Medical Testing Co., Ltd. to build a shared 5G network leveraging its mature technologies.
Wei Liming, General Manager of Beijing Rongyu Information Technology Co., Ltd., stated that against the backdrop of national strategic requirements and industry development trends, Rongyu will collaborate with Guangzhou Jiajian Medical Testing Co., Ltd. to leverage the opportunities presented by 5G technology. Together, they will effectively share social resources, achieve resource integration and business synergy, and jointly create demonstration and pilot projects in the field of 5G healthcare. Their cooperation will focus on enabling ultra-fast transmission of clinical testing data via 5G, cloud-based data sharing and analysis; promoting 5G-enabled tiered diagnosis and treatment as well as multi-party online consultations for complex and rare diseases; and facilitating 5G-powered smart healthcare data mining with multi-level openness and sharing of analytical results, thereby empowering the improvement of public health.
Guo Yipeng, General Manager of Guangzhou Emerging Industry Development Fund Management Co., Ltd., stated: “As a government-guided fund in Guangzhou, the Emerging Industry Fund focuses primarily on the 5G internet and healthcare sectors.
