Jiajian Medicine Successfully Holds Signing Ceremony for '5G Internet + Smart Jiajian' Service System
In alignment with Guangzhou’s 13th Five-Year Plan and the Industrial Development Plan for the IAB (Next-Generation Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Biopharmaceuticals) sectors, and to vigorously promote the development and expansion of strategic emerging industries such as biomedicine, as well as to foster the integrated development of 5G technology applications with Jiajian Medical’s comprehensive solutions for birth defect prevention and control, a strategic cooperation signing ceremony for the joint establishment of the “5G Internet + Smart Jiajian” service system was grandly held in the conference room of the Emerging Industries Fund on May 15, 2020. Jiajian Medical formally signed agreements with China Telecom, China Unicom, Beijing Rongyu Information Technology Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Emerging Industries Development Fund Management Co., Ltd., and the Zhongguancun Lianchuang Medical Engineering Translation Center, marking the commencement of a new era of strategic deployment for the clinical translation of genomic technologies across China.

This signing aims to leverage the opportunities presented by 5G technology to effectively share social resources, fully capitalize on advantages in funding and distribution channels, and thereby achieve mutual transformation and value enhancement for both parties. The three major telecommunications operators will assist Guangzhou Jiajian Medical Testing Co., Ltd. in building the “Smart Jiajian” medical service system, accelerating efficient business coordination, seamless information exchange and sharing, and vertical integration of resources. This initiative facilitates multi-level open access, query, and sharing of public data platforms, as well as specialized services such as genetic counseling. It also expedites the implementation of second-level transmission of clinical testing data via 5G, cloud-based data sharing and analysis, and multi-party online consultations for complex and rare diseases, thereby promoting cross-regional and multi-center collaboration for Guangzhou Jiajian Medical Testing Co., Ltd.
At the ceremony, representatives from all parties engaged in open dialogue and exchange, conveying their confidence in multi-faceted open cooperation and sharing their perspectives on the future prospects of the medical testing industry and the 5G internet information technology sector. Jiang Jun, Deputy General Manager of China Unicom Qingyuan Branch, stated that Unicom had established a Guangdong medical base in 2016 to provide informatization services to 200 hospitals, and expressed hope to collaborate with Guangzhou Jiajian Medical Testing Co., Ltd. to build a shared 5G network leveraging its mature technologies.
Wei Liming, General Manager of Beijing Rongyu Information Technology Co., Ltd., stated that against the backdrop of national strategic requirements and industry development trends, Rongyu will collaborate with Guangzhou Jiajian Medical Testing Co., Ltd. to leverage the opportunities presented by 5G technology. Together, they will effectively share social resources, achieve resource integration and business synergy, and jointly create demonstration and pilot projects in the field of 5G healthcare.
