Decoding New Public Health Infrastructure: In-Depth Dialogue Between Experts and Enterprises

Post-pandemic, new infrastructure has emerged as the most significant new driver of national economic development. Within the healthcare sector, prioritizing the strengthening of medical and health systems, addressing shortages in healthcare resources, and effectively responding to emerging infectious diseases will be the key focus of current healthcare-related new infrastructure initiatives. The New Infrastructure Themed Forum, held concurrently with the CMEF New Product Marathon, will feature distinguished experts from academia, industry, research, and application fields, including Zhang Yanping, an expert from the Health Emergency Center of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC), and Sun Mingjun, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Department at the Cloud and Big Data Research Institute of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and Executive Deputy Director of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s Laboratory for AI Technology and Application Evaluation. These experts will provide comprehensive insights from multiple perspectives. Additionally, for the Smart Imaging Themed Forum, the organizers have invited Professor Jin Zhengyu, Chairman of the Chinese Society of Radiology, and Professor Liu Shiyuan, Chairman-Elect, among other experts, to share online insights on how technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data are supporting epidemic prevention and control and the development of public health defense systems.

In-Depth Focus on the “Two Sessions” Hot Topics, Precisely Empowering the Industry’s Future

The pandemic has brought new opportunities and challenges to the entire medical device industry chain. Both the government and the public are placing greater emphasis on and have higher expectations for medical devices, especially intelligent healthcare products. What new integrated applications have emerged in fields such as medical imaging, in vitro diagnostics (IVD), smart health, rehabilitation and elderly care, and intelligent manufacturing, driven by cutting-edge technologies represented by 5G, AI, medical robots, big data, and smart chips? At the event, the organizers will invite authoritative experts—including Professor Zhu Yaoyi, Vice President of the Medical Laboratory Industry Branch of the China National Health Industry Enterprise Management Association; Associate Researcher Zhao Di from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Professor Wang Tianmiao, Honorary Director of the Robotics Institute at Beihang University; Dr. Wu Xinbao, Vice President of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital; and the Managing Director of SDIC Innovation—to engage in in-depth discussions. Aligning with the hot topics from the Two Sessions, these experts will participate in specialized forums such as the In Vitro Diagnostics Forum, the Smart Health – Medical Robotics Session, and the Smart Chips and Medical Devices Forum.

Furthermore, how should medical consumable suppliers, currently facing challenges from new policies such as the single-ticket system and online price-comparison procurement, respond to the new DRG policy? At the Medical Consumables Thematic Forum, the organizers invited the Deputy Secretary-General of the Healthcare Security Professional Committee of the China Society of Social Security and corporate representatives to share online their strategies for coping with “DRG and Consumable Procurement.”

Unlocking Boundless Market Opportunities: New Smart Elderly Care Forum Added

As society ages, the potential for deep integration between the elderly care and healthcare sectors continues to be unleashed. Effectively promoting the combination of medical and elderly care is considered a crucial component in addressing the challenges of “smart elderly care.” To help the industry expand into broader market spaces and to empower and add value to China’s distinctive elderly care industry, the organizers have innovatively expanded the scope of the offline CMEF exhibition in October by launching the “International Elderly Care, Welfare, and Nursing Products Expo.” Additionally, during the new product launch event on June 4, experts and corporate representatives—including Gu Miao, Director of Nursing at Taikang Community Shen Garden in Shanghai; Wu Wenwei from the China Health Internet of Things Industry Alliance; and companies such as Sviice and Shunkangda—will be invited to share online insights on hot topics related to “smart elderly care.” These topics include the CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement Community) model, 5G technology and elderly care informatization, age-friendly environmental modifications, applications of assistive devices in elderly care, and the development of online marketplaces for integrated medical and elderly care services.
