Call for Entries: China's Health Innovation Leaders 2020

Currently, China and the world at large are embracing a significant opportunity for substantial development in healthcare. With the implementation of scenario-based applications for comprehensive, full-lifecycle health management under the "Healthy China 2030" initiative, the healthcare market is experiencing rapid growth, accelerating industrial upgrades in sectors such as medical devices, pharmaceutical commerce, medical services, and personal health management.

The healthcare industry has long attracted significant attention and emphasis. Amid the pandemic, it has demonstrated even broader development prospects. The public’s growing demand for healthcare services has created new growth opportunities for healthcare companies. The new era brings not only new challenges but also new opportunities. Crises serve as a “grand review” for enterprises. After being tempered by the real-world trials of the pandemic, most healthcare companies have delivered commendable performance. Whether in internet healthcare, third-party clinical laboratories, or innovative IVD (in vitro diagnostics) and medical robotics, companies specializing in medical technologies and related products have submitted impressive results during the fight against the epidemic.

The Chinese Dream, the Health Dream. So, which enterprises will be the main force in building a Healthy China? They are either deeply rooted in key sub-sectors of the pharmaceutical and health industry, or they master core cutting-edge technologies such as the Internet, big data, and artificial intelligence, and are poised to lead the future of health.

To this end, People's Daily Online · People's Health, in collaboration with Huoshi Research Institute, launched the 2020 Inaugural China Health New Forces Enterprise Call for Entries and Selection. We aim to identify high-potential enterprises across China's medical and health industry, explore and uncover new drivers and initiatives for the development of Healthy China, support the construction of new infrastructure, and thereby enhance societal attention and support for these emerging enterprises.

This selection will adopt a “leading experts + AI” approach, using the China Biopharmaceutical Industry Development Index as a data reference and incorporating expert reviews. Candidates will be evaluated across multiple dimensions—including industry reputation, growth potential, and investment value—through a composite calculation of various indicators to determine the final list. The rankings will be officially announced in July, with frontline entrepreneurs, investment institutions, industry experts and scholars, government park leaders, and national mainstream media joining to witness this moment of honor.
