Baidu and Miaojiankang Forge Strategic Partnership to Accelerate Smart Chronic Disease Management Solutions
Amid the ongoing fight against the epidemic, digital technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing are being deeply integrated with the healthcare industry, accelerating the implementation of smart healthcare. On June 29, Baidu and Beijing Miaoyijia Health Technology Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Miao Health”) entered into a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will jointly explore the integration of healthcare services with advanced information technologies, conduct in-depth collaboration in the field of chronic disease management, and accelerate the deployment of smart chronic disease management products based on the Xiaodu Smart Speaker to benefit a broad population of patients with chronic conditions.

Kong Fei, CEO of Miao Health, stated that as cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT) continue to be implemented in the healthcare sector, the broader health industry is accelerating its intelligent transformation. This shift holds promise for addressing critical pain points, including the limited coverage of family doctor contract services, insufficient service capacity, and strained resource supply. Through this collaboration with Baidu Smart Healthcare, Miao Health will leverage its core capabilities—such as the “Miao+” IoT health big data platform and the “AI Health Manager”—to deliver an AIoT-based smart family doctor service solution. Targeting individuals who are healthy, sub-healthy, or living with chronic diseases, the solution provides personalized health management services on a mass scale, effectively improving service accessibility and ensuring sustainable health protection.
Miao Health is a health technology company founded on big data of health behaviors and artificial intelligence. It is reported that in November last year, Lingyi Zhihui and Inspur jointly created the “Huaiyin Model for Chronic Disease Management” in Jinan’s Huaiyin District, a national pilot zone for integrated medical and elderly care. The Huaiyin pilot received strong support from the Jinan Municipal Health Commission. Together, the two parties developed the Xiaodu Ai Jiankang chronic disease management service solution based on the Xiaodu Zaixia smart speaker, aiming to bolster primary care family doctor services and empower residents in managing chronic diseases.
In accordance with the terms of collaboration, both parties will engage in deep cooperation focused on the field of chronic disease management. By integrating Lingyi Zhihui’s professional chronic disease management solutions and industry-leading medical AI technologies with Miao Health’s superior data acquisition capabilities, the parties aim to establish a closed-loop service ecosystem encompassing daily lifestyle interventions and patient health education. This initiative will provide personalized, scientifically grounded management services for patients with chronic diseases. Furthermore, leveraging big data and artificial intelligence technologies to combine in-hospital and out-of-hospital data, the parties will integrate their respective resources and chronic disease management solutions to co-develop interactive, personalized health insurance products, thereby facilitating product launch and commercial implementation.
Finally, Baidu and Miao Health will serve as each other’s AI partners and smart healthcare chronic disease management ecosystem partners. Leveraging their complementary strengths in hospitals, government, internet, and insurance sectors, they will join forces with various stakeholders to build a chronic disease management ecosystem. Through ecosystem collaboration, they will expand resource sharing and the reach of their solutions, achieving mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
This strategic partnership between two industry leaders aims to create a new model and business format characterized by “three innovations” in scenarios, technology, and services within the field of chronic disease management, thereby establishing a closed-loop service ecosystem.
