List of Hospitals Newly Added to the High-Level Electronic Medical Record System in 2019
Among the newly added list, 10 hospitals received full support from Huimei Technology. In the high-level evaluations, the most challenging Level 6 and Level 7 assessments strictly test hospitals’ capabilities in closed-loop data management, advanced clinical decision support, and medical quality control. Huimei Technology’s proprietary advanced Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) helped Ruijin Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Hebei General Hospital, Ruijin Hospital North Branch Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and Hangzhou First People’s Hospital successfully advance to these higher levels. As can be seen from the list, nearly half of the hospitals that achieved the highest levels (Level 6 and Level 7) in electronic medical records (EMR) in 2019 were supported by Huimei Technology.
Huimei Technology is a healthcare artificial intelligence solutions provider centered on improving clinical quality. One of its core products, the Huimei Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS), serves as the intelligent “hub” for hospital electronic medical record (EMR) informatization initiatives. Since the national EMR informatization accreditation program was launched, Huimei CDSS has helped nearly 20 partner hospitals achieve high-level accreditation, with 20% of these hospitals attaining Level 6 or above.
Leveraging its core functional modules and positive word-of-mouth, Huimei CDSS has not only repeatedly helped clients successfully pass accreditation assessments but also enabled these partner hospitals to achieve multiple “first-of-their-kind” breakthroughs.
Shanghai Ruijin Hospital stands out most prominently in the latest list of hospitals that have achieved certification levels. Its main campus has attained Level 7 of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system grading, making it the first and only hospital in Shanghai to reach this level, while its North Campus has achieved Level 6.
It is reported that Shanghai Ruijin Hospital has been advancing its health information technology infrastructure for over three decades. In 2019, the hospital implemented Huimei’s Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) to achieve intelligent transformation and upgrading. The hospital has also received numerous accolades, including designation as a national-level pilot site for digital hospitals and the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, thereby establishing itself as a leader in medical quality management and health informatics development.
Hebei General Hospital is the first hospital in Hebei Province to achieve Level 6 of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. The expert panel highly commended the hospital’s top-level design, functional development, and system application of its health information system.
Hangzhou First People’s Hospital has twice earned the distinction of being the “first” in its informatization initiatives, leveraging the comprehensive support capabilities of Huimei CDSS across the entire closed-loop medical process. In 2018, it became the first Grade A tertiary hospital in Zhejiang Province to achieve Level 5 certification for electronic medical records (EMR). This year, it has again become the first hospital in Zhejiang Province to pass the Level 6 EMR evaluation, marking a new milestone in the hospital’s informatization and refined management.
Since its establishment in 2015, Huimei Technology has remained dedicated to developing Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) products that best align with clinical workflow needs. Starting with supporting hospitals in achieving electronic medical record (EMR) system grading standards, the company has been driving the deepening of hospital informatization toward enhanced substantive quality, convenience, and efficiency.
Since the National Health Commission issued Document No. 20 in 2018, the informatization of electronic medical records (EMR) has become an essential component of modern hospital management. In 2019, the state further raised requirements, mandating that hospitals at Level II and above participate in the graded evaluation of EMR application levels, while also incorporating this metric into the performance assessment indicators for tertiary hospitals. Policy support has driven hospital informatization to evolve from its initial focus on convenient, patient-friendly applications characterized by “more data movement, fewer patient trips,” to a deeper emphasis on strengthening clinical process management and enhancing service capabilities for both patients and clinical staff. The national objective is to leverage accreditation mechanisms to achieve improvements in the quality and substance of hospital services amidst intelligent transformation.
Huimei Technology has aligned with national policy requirements and strictly adhered to the latest standards for graded evaluation of electronic medical records. It has completed the design and optimization of a multi-level, comprehensive Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) that closely integrates with hospitals’ clinical workflows, embedding it throughout the entire healthcare delivery process. This enables hospitals to accurately assess data quality and medical care quality. To date, Huimei Technology has successfully provided AI-driven, end-to-end quality control solutions to 110 renowned Grade A tertiary hospitals in China, building an intelligent shield for medical quality and patient safety.
