On July 2, WeDoctor Group, an internationally leading digital health platform, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Mead Johnson, a globally renowned infant nutrition brand. Leveraging their respective strengths, the two parties will jointly build a professionally leading online-to-offline (O2O) maternal and child health service platform in China and launch the “Healthy Chinese Babies Initiative.” Liao Jieyuan, Chairman and CEO of WeDoctor, and Enda Ryan, CEO of Mead Johnson Greater China, attended the signing ceremony as witnesses. Ding Haihuan, Senior Vice President of WeDoctor, and Zhang Zhanhong, Director of Business Innovation for Mead Johnson Greater China, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.

In accordance with the cooperation plan, both parties will integrate their respective resources and strengths to jointly build a leading online-to-offline (O2O) maternal and infant health service platform in China. This platform will provide comprehensive health services for Chinese expectant mothers and families with infants, covering the entire journey from prenatal health and healthy infant development to postpartum health management for mothers. Furthermore, the two parties will explore additional win-win opportunities in brand co-development and industrial ecosystem building.
The maternal and infant industry spans the entire pregnancy and childbirth cycle as well as the growth period of infants and young children, with China having become the world’s largest consumer market for infants and young children. According to the latest data from the China Infant and Child Industry Research Center, the infant and child market has maintained a high growth rate in recent years, with significant trends toward premiumization and online migration. While the maternal and infant industry holds immense market potential, the traditional sector faces increasingly severe challenges, such as fragmented traffic flows and significantly rising customer acquisition costs. Exploring the integration of online and offline channels to provide one-stop, full-process health management services for mothers and infants has emerged as a new breakthrough for industry development.
Ruienda stated, “Since its inception, Mead Johnson has adhered to its corporate mission of ‘providing scientific nutrition for infants and young children worldwide, empowering mothers, and giving children a beautiful start in life,’ thereby serving families around the globe. WeDoctor is a leading digital health platform, and its value proposition and strategic direction are highly aligned with those of Mead Johnson. We are delighted to create value together with WeDoctor. Through this strong partnership, we hope to provide mothers with a more convenient maternal and child healthcare service platform that integrates online and offline resources, thereby empowering mothers in China.”
