According to the Zhongtong Finance APP, Ribo Life Science-B (06938) rose more than 5%. As of press time, it increased by 5.62%, trading at HK$72.45, with a turnover of HK$6.483 million.
On the news front, recently, Ribo Life Science-B announced that the RBD5044 injection, independently developed by the group, has received implied permission for Phase II clinical trials from the China National Medical Products Administration. RBD5044 is an siRNA drug targeting APOC3. APOC3 is a protein synthesized almost exclusively in the liver and plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism. RBD5044 can address complications associated with hypertriglyceridemia, becoming a therapeutic option for managing dyslipidemia. Guosheng Securities believes that small nucleic acid drugs are entering a period of vigorous global development, transitioning from the technical validation stage to the clinical realization and commercial acceleration phase.
The bank pointed out that currently, there are 23 small nucleic acid drugs cumulatively approved for marketing worldwide, covering multiple technical directions such as siRNA, ASO, and aptamers. Although there are no products on the market in China yet, the number of R&D pipelines ranks second only to the United States, covering various therapeutic areas such as hyperlipidemia, hypertension, hepatitis B, kidney disease, muscle diseases, and obesity. Notable overseas transactions have emerged, such as Bowang Pharmaceutical's cumulative cooperation with Novartis exceeding $9 billion, and Ribo Life Science's $2 billion platform licensing deal with Boehringer Ingelheim. Traditional pharmaceutical companies like China Biologic Products have also quickly secured their positions through acquisitions, indicating a positive development trend in the industry.
