Vascular Interventional Device Manufacturer and R&D Developer

Provider of Comprehensive Solutions for Minimally Invasive Interventional Precision Medicine
Cardiovascular Medical Device R&D Developer

Recently, Medpark portfolio company Kossel Medtech (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (“Kossel”) has continued to strengthen its position in the vascular intervention sector by completing two significant strategic moves: the acquisition of the peripheral vascular interventional diagnosis and treatment business of Shanghai Baiquantong Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (“Baiquantong Medical”) and the acquisition of Shanghai XinZhi Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (“XinZhi Medical”). Recently, Baiquantong Medical’s independently developed K-VisionMax™ Jingbao™ Peripheral IVUS System successfully received market approval.
Leveraging the development strategy of “independent innovation + ecosystem integration,” Kossel has established a full-industry-chain layout, becoming a platform-based leading enterprise in China’s pan-vascular interventional device sector.

Acquisition of Baiquantong Medical
Covering the Full Cycle of Peripheral Interventional Diagnosis and Treatment
Peripheral vascular disease involves a complex clinical course and diverse surgical procedures, making it difficult for any single product or technology to cover the entire diagnosis and treatment workflow. Previously, Kossel had established advantages in the treatment of venous diseases, arteriovenous thrombus removal, and vascular preparation. The core rationale behind this acquisition of Baiquantong Medical is to strengthen the key diagnostic segment of "intravascular imaging."
Baiquantong Medical’s independently developed K-VisionMax™ Jingbao™ Peripheral IVUS System is at the leading level in China. Equipped with a 30 MHz mechanical rotating transducer, the system features an ultra-large imaging diameter of 40 mm and is compatible with 0.018" guidewires and 6F sheaths, comprehensively meeting the diagnostic and therapeutic needs across all peripheral vascular scenarios, including the carotid arteries, lower extremity arteries and veins, and iliac veins.
Furthermore, Baiquantong Medical has made in-depth strides in the fields of active and passive diagnostic and therapeutic products. Its product portfolio is highly complementary to Kossel’s existing lineup, and together they will establish an integrated interventional solution covering the full lifecycle of peripheral arterial and venous diseases.
Acquisition of XinZhi Medical
Deploying Drug-Coated Balloons, Securing a Position in the Coronary Artery Sector
In the acquisition of XinZhi Medical, Kossel strategically positioned itself to capitalize on the industry transformation window of “intervention without implantation,” rapidly strengthening its core competencies in drug-coated balloon technology by incorporating two major drug-eluting balloon products—sirolimus and paclitaxel—into its portfolio. Notably, the technological maturity and development progress of its sirolimus drug-coated balloon have placed it among the global first tier.
Through this acquisition, Kossel has successfully established a core coronary product portfolio comprising “spinous process balloons + dual-technology drug-coated balloons + drug-eluting stents,” comprehensively covering all clinical scenarios in coronary intervention, including pre-procedural vessel preparation, intra-procedural implant-free therapy, and necessary stent implantation, thereby constructing a systematic and integrated solution for coronary interventional diagnosis and treatment.
With this, Kossel has officially established a platform-based layout featuring the synergistic development of four major sectors: peripheral intervention, coronary intervention, electrophysiology, and core raw materials, thereby completing a key strategic upgrade in the pan-vascular intervention field.

In the future, Kossel will continue to deepen its engagement in the pan-vascular intervention field, accelerate the commercialization of innovative products, enhance its global layout, and steadily advance toward its goal of becoming a global innovation ecosystem hub in the vascular intervention sector.
