On September 22, 2020, Tree Diagnostics announced that Dr. Quan Xueping, who boasts extensive research experience in bioinformatics and biostatistics, has officially joined the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, taking full responsibility for Tree Diagnostics’ scientific research and bioinformatics data management.

Dr. Quan possesses extensive knowledge and experience across multiple fields, including bioinformatics, medical statistics, oncology, pharmacogenomics, and artificial intelligence. He is dedicated to providing strategic decision support for personalized precision medicine through technologies and platforms that identify, quantify, analyze, and interpret big data in clinical and precision medicine. He has published numerous international SCI-indexed papers and holds multiple patents. In 2018, he was honored with the title of “Zhongguancun High-End Innovation Leading Talent.”
Dr. Quan Xueping earned her Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics from the University of Edinburgh in 2006, having previously completed her undergraduate and master’s studies in Microbiology and Genetic Engineering at Nankai University. Following her doctoral graduation, Dr. Quan held postdoctoral and senior bioinformatics research positions at the Centre for Intelligent Systems and Applications (CISA) within the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh, King’s College London School of Medicine, and Imperial College London. During this period, she undertook multiple major research projects funded by the European Union, the European Research Council, and the British Heart Foundation.
Since 2013, Dr. Quan Xueping has been employed at General Bioinformatics Ltd, providing professional research protocols, bioinformatics consulting, and in-depth data analysis and mining services to multinational biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies as well as research institutions, including Syngenta, UCB, and the University of Cambridge.
In December 2014, Dr. Quan Xueping joined Shuoyi Medical Data Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (later acquired by Digital China Healthcare Technology Co., Ltd.), initially serving as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, and subsequently as General Manager of the Scientific Affairs Department. She was fully responsible for establishing and leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers and experts in fields including bioinformatics, computational biology, epidemiology, medical statistics, machine learning algorithms, clinical medicine, pharmacy, and software development. Her responsibilities encompassed the research and development of new disease and drug models, novel algorithms, big data analysis, mining, and knowledge discovery in biomedicine, as well as the execution, management, and translation of multiple national key scientific research programs. The precision medicine structured knowledge base and clinical decision support system, developed under her leadership, have been certified as Class A medical devices by the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) of Singapore, obtained ISO 13485 certification and global free trade certification, and are currently undergoing simultaneous regulatory approval with the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Previously, Tushu Biotechnology announced the completion of its Series B financing, amounting to hundreds of millions of yuan, and revealed that its next step would be to accelerate the clinical development of new IVD technology products and the layout of new pipelines. The addition of Dr. Quan Xueping will help Tushu Biotechnology reach a higher level in the deep mining and systematic management of bioinformatics data. In line with Tushu Biotechnology’s mission of “Innovation, Creating Value for Cancer Patients,” they will jointly promote the product translation of precision diagnostics and precision medicine, focusing on people's livelihood and benefiting society.
