Meet Health

Cancer Patient Communication Platform Service Provider

Meet Health, a platform focused on rehabilitation management for cancer patients, has recently completed a Pre-A+ funding round of tens of millions of yuan, led by Xinrui Jiying. Previously, Meet Health secured Pre-A financing from Tianshiwan Venture Capital. The funds from this round will be primarily allocated to the production of medical science popularization content, research and development of services, and market expansion.

According to statistics, in 2020, the proportion of China’s population aged 65 and above approached 14%, with the elderly population nearing 200 million. China has entered a stage of deep aging. Since cancer is, in a sense, an age-related disease, the incidence of cancer is expected to surge in the coming years. Meanwhile, the rapid development of oncology biopharmaceuticals in recent years has provided cancer patients with an expanding array of treatment options, leading to progressively longer survival times.

Furthermore, as per capita GDP continues to rise, there is a clear trend toward the upgrading of household healthcare consumption, with increasingly strong demand for mid-to-high-end rehabilitation medical services. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the public has gained new understanding and experience with internet-based healthcare. Driven by policy support, internet-enabled healthcare experiences—such as accessing health information, connecting with medical resources, and remote consultations—have become commonplace.

Meet Health APP was officially launched in September 2015, focusing on rehabilitation management for patients with severe diseases, particularly cancer. By entering the field of oncology rehabilitation from the patient perspective, Meet Health has invested heavily in professional medical editors to produce rigorous medical science popularization content and build a patient communication community. After five years of operation, it has currently gathered more than 1 million precise cancer patients, making it one of the largest and most active patient platforms for cancer patients in China. In the past two years, it has gradually evolved into a "data-driven cancer patient rehabilitation management platform," transitioning from superficial information linking to providing deep, personalized whole-course rehabilitation management services by integrating high-quality medical resources from multiple parties.

Meet Health’s future direction is to build a “cancer rehabilitation management system” that integrates online and offline services, leverages data-driven approaches, and covers the entire disease journey, grounded in cancer science popularization and linked to high-quality medical resources.

At this stage, Meet Health has established its presence across 10 cancer types and will eventually cover all cancer types. It is the only patient education and management platform in China that spans multiple cancer types and enables precision operations, adhering to rigorous scientific popularization, meticulous services, and humanistic care.

Meet Health not only focuses on patients’ physical recovery, but also collaborates with leading domestic experts in rehabilitation to conduct joint research on psychological recovery, dietary nutrition, exercise rehabilitation, and social adaptation for cancer patients.etc.Dedicated to promoting the optimal implementation of patient-centered “whole-person treatment” and “whole-person recovery” concepts in the field of cancer rehabilitation.

In the healthcare sector, the core issue is “trust.” Liu Wengui introduced that Meet Health aims to become a “Trust Center” in the field of cancer patient rehabilitation, collaborating with more upstream and downstream enterprises across the industry chain to provide precisely matched medical resources for patients. This will ensure that every patient receives optimal treatment and the best possible quality of life, helping them return to a fulfilling life.

In the field of healthcare investment, innovative oncology drugs and medical devices have long been the primary sectors for venture capital firms. Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, internet-based healthcare products and services—such as online consultations, medication sourcing and delivery, and health education—have become widespread essential needs. Although the development of internet healthcare had been relatively slow due to regulatory policies and the structure of the healthcare system, the pandemic this year has sparked significant opportunities for growth in the industry.

During the treatment of critically ill patients, they are often in the most passive position due to the complexity of their conditions and the high barriers involved. Final treatment decisions have traditionally been made by physicians with prescribing authority, but this situation has been changing in recent years.Patients and their families have a strong desire to participate in medical decision-making. With the rapid development of mobile internet, it has become increasingly easier for patients and their families to access medical information, leading to a corresponding improvement in their understanding of medicine and diseases. In the future, shared decision-making between patients and physicians will become the norm.

Meet Health has entered the highly specialized field of oncology through medical science popularization and has already amassed China’s largest patient base. As it deepens its personalized services, it is poised to become a vital component of the oncology ecosystem industry chain. As the core players in the ecological industry chain, oncology pharmaceutical companies have shifted from focusing solely on academic education for physicians in the past to increasingly emphasizing patient empowerment in recent years. Enhancing patients’ scientific understanding of cancer helps directly improve the accessibility and adherence to new drugs and novel therapies.

In addition to seeking longer survival, patients have increasingly prioritized quality of life in recent years; therefore,In addition to mainstream treatments such as surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and targeted immunotherapy, rehabilitative approaches—including psychological support, nutritional therapy, exercise, and naturopathy—have become essential options for cancer patients. However, standardized consumer scenarios for these services have yet to be established, presenting a significant opportunity for Meet Health.
