First National Training Program on Health Medical Big Data Application and Management Successfully Concluded in 2020

From October 10 to 11, the first national training course on the application and management of health and medical big data in 2020, hosted by the Chinese Society for Health Informatics and Medical Big Data, was successfully held in Chengdu.


Zhou Li, Director of the Information Center of the Sichuan Provincial Health Commission; Li Yuefeng, Director of the Information Standards Division of the Statistical Information Center of the National Health Commission; Huang Faqiang from the Project Supervision Center of the National Health Commission; Zeng Guojun, Associate Chief Physician in the Department of Vascular Surgery at West China Hospital of Sichuan University; Wang Yanping, Director of the Information Management Center of Jilin Province Cancer Hospital; Wang Yifei from the Medical Big Data Research Center of the Chinese PLA General Hospital; Chen Xi from the Big Data Center of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China; and Xiao Hui, Deputy General Manager of CEC Data, delivered keynote speeches on topics including “Construction and Application of Health and Medical Big Data in Sichuan Province,” “Interpretation of the Standardization Maturity Assessment for Interconnectivity of National Health and Medical Information,” “Grasping Policies and Regulations on Informatization Procurement in the Health System and Analysis of Typical Cases,” “Exploration of Internet Hospital Construction in Public Hospitals and Practices of West China Internet Hospital,” “Sharing Experiences in Hospital Informatization Construction with Electronic Medical Records as the Core,” “Practices of Health and Medical Big Data Supporting COVID-19 Prevention and Control,” “Methods and Applications of Medical Big Data Governance Based on Metadata Traceability,” and “Reflections and Practices on Informatization Construction in Primary Healthcare.”


This two-day training course brought together approximately 200 participants, including representatives from relevant units under the National Health Commission, leaders in charge of health information work from provincial, municipal, and county-level health commissions, as well as experts, scholars, and industry representatives engaged in health informatics and healthcare big data.


National Training Program on the Application and Management of Health and Medical Big Data is a nationwide thematic training series organized annually by the Chinese Society for Health Informatics and Medical Big Data, focusing on the current status and development trends of health and medical big data applications. In 2019, the Society held three sessions of the “National Training Program on the Application and Management of Health and Medical Big Data” in Yantai, Haikou, and Shenyang, respectively, training approximately 500 participants in total.


National Training Program on the Application and Management of Health and Medical Big DataThe National Training Program on the Application and Management of Health and Medical Big Data brings together industry experts, scholars, and industry representatives. Through lectures, seminars, exchanges, and site visits, it establishes an integrated platform for communication and learning among professionals in the field. The program aims to strengthen the training of personnel in health informatics and health and medical big data, leverage the role of health and medical big data in promoting the informatization of medical institutions, facilitate the deep integration of information technology and healthcare services, advance the development of national health informatization, and contribute to the construction of a Healthy China.


Against the backdrop of normalized epidemic prevention and control, this training program was meticulously organized in strict accordance with national and local requirements. Comprehensive work plans and contingency protocols for epidemic prevention were developed, and close coordination with relevant local authorities ensured the rigorous implementation of control measures, thereby guaranteeing the scientific and orderly conduct of the training. This event was co-organized by the Information and Application Security Protection Branch, the Three-Medical-Linkage Health Security Branch, and the General Practice and Health Management Committee of the Chinese Society of Health Informatics and Medical Big Data.
