At the invitation of the organizer, Maikang served as both the organizer and exhibitor of the “Functional Behavioral Diagnosis and Treatment” Forum. During the event, Maikang made the inaugural release of the “Theoretical and Application System” of its Health Medicine Model and extended invitations to relevant institutions and enterprises for collaborative development, co-construction, and resource sharing. Aligned with the national Healthy China strategy, Maikang’s health medicine philosophy is rooted in residents’ health needs and focuses on deepening foundational technologies, thereby bringing unprecedented leading development opportunities to the entire industry chain. This approach gained widespread recognition from all parties at the conference, and Maikang was honored with the Academic Support Award for Tumor Nutrition.

All experts unanimously agreed that the medical philosophy and theoretical system of Maikang Health align with the current direction of medical development, representing a unique and disruptive innovation in the global medical field. They reached a consensus on the following points:

Regarding the assertion on health medical models, the mainstream current medical model is disease medicine.

The human "Life Activity System" is composed of three major subsystems. The first is the Physical System, which encompasses all physiological and psychological functions inherent in the material structure based on the body. The second is the Survival Activity System, which is built upon the Physical System and represents the systemic postural manifestations of an individual’s life across various domains and their volitional actions. The third is the Systemic Interaction between the individual and five major environmental factors: material resources, support and connections, attitudes and atmosphere, market and society, and ecology and nature. These three subsystems collectively constitute the Individual Life Activity System. An individual’s health is defined by the status of their "Life Activity System"; the conceptual framework describing this status constitutes the natural propositional classification of health conditions. Medical engineering within the human health enterprise should not remain confined to "disease-oriented medical thinking." The existing International Classification of Families (WHO-FIC) fails to reflect the full spectrum of human health, as its statistical classification operates merely at the phenomenological level. Humanity requires a natural classification of health grounded in three major scientific domains.

Disrupting the Current Diagnostic Landscape in Medicine

Health-focused diagnosis and treatment have become the foundation of medical diagnostics, are widely applied in preventive medicine as a key methodological approach, and will emerge as a critical action-oriented methodology for disease intervention.

The Development of the Disciplinary System for Human Health Literacy

2,400 years ago, the ancient Greeks laid the foundation for today’s system of human knowledge education and teaching, which has continued to evolve to the present day. However, during this period, a systematic educational framework for health literacy—essential for healthy living—was long overdue in its establishment. The Maikang Medical Research Institute has pioneered the discipline of Health Literacy Intervention, constructing a comprehensive academic and pedagogical system that encompasses activity-based curriculum education, diagnostic curriculum education, therapeutic curriculum education, and proactive health behavioral education, all structured around the paradigm of “knowledge–competence–behavior.”

The Chinese Path of the Modern Medical System

Throughout the past several centuries of modern medical development, there has been a lack of disciplinary founding contributions from Chinese scholars. The Maikang Medical Research Institute has established a series of new medical disciplines, including Health Intervention Praxeology, Diagnostics of Natural Health Propositions, Health Literacy Intervention Science (based on the health literacy curriculum system), and Functional Behavioral Therapeutics grounded in health diagnostics and health literacy interventions. These innovations have infused modern medicine with a fresh perspective, charting a novel developmental path: the Chinese approach to the cause of human health.

A New Era of Health and Medical Care for All

The next phase of human medicine is the era of health-oriented diagnosis and treatment, which is grounded in a medical diagnostics framework based on the natural paradigm of health. This methodological approach to medical practice can be applied by everyone in their daily healthy living. Building upon health assessments, this approach employs a precision-guided strategy of “one proposition, five targets” to describe, reveal, and expose abnormalities in health status, thereby enabling the organization of more appropriate therapies through systematic combinations to intervene in and resolve health issues. This diagnostic and therapeutic cycle should receive robust support from the existing healthcare system.

14. Mai Kang has achieved remarkable innovation, from hypothesis to design and implementation.

The defining characteristics of the current era necessitate the integration of resources across the entire value chain, where collaboration is essential for mutual success.

Maikang is committed to joining hands to usher in a new era of human health diagnosis and treatment.

The venue was packed to capacity, and Maikang’s presence outside the forum also drew significant attention.
