“We are committed to building it into the largest public welfare rescue base in western China.” On November 18, the unveiling ceremony for the So-Young Public Welfare Rescue Base at Xingrong Plastic Surgery Hospital was held in Chongqing. Meanwhile, on-site, both parties conducted a consultation and provided assistance to the first patient using a multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach.

The reporter learned that,MDT is a distinctive feature pioneered by Xingrong Plastic Surgery Hospital, serving as a boon for patients with complex and refractory conditions across China. It is reported that multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) were initially applied to the diagnosis and treatment of complex diseases such as cancer, renal failure, and heart failure. By maximizing the integration of resources and expertise across specialties, MDTs improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment, fundamentally reduce medical costs, and enhance patients’ healthcare experience, earning them the reputation as the “optimal approach” to cancer treatment.
It is reported that,SoYoung x Xingrong Plastic Surgery Hospital Public Welfare Rescue Base brings together a first-class medical team composed of more than 20 top plastic surgery experts in the industry.Wu Yan, Medical Director and Assistant to the President of Xingrong Plastic Surgery Hospital, introduced that the first patient in this public welfare rescue initiative was managed through a multidisciplinary team (MDT) consultation model. This approach involved experts from various fields, including reconstructive surgery, breast aesthetics, anti-aging treatments, fat grafting, female genital rejuvenation, and anesthesiology. Led by Professor Li Shirong, the MDT panel comprised several nationally renowned authorities such as Professors Wu Yiping, Hao Lijun, Song Jianxing, Huang Jinlong, and Associate Professor Zhang Ge. The team conducted the multidisciplinary consultation in the hospital’s comprehensive conference room to customize a surgical repair plan for the patient. Following discussions, the experts finalized the treatment strategy. Subsequently, Professor Wu Yiping—Director of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Huazhong University of Science and Technology School of Medicine, and a technical expert judge on the SoYoung Green Gem Doctor List—will perform the breast reconstruction surgery.

Reconstructive surgeries are highly complex, placing greater demands on physicians’ professional expertise and the service capabilities of supporting facilities. As a platform dedicated to providing reconstructive relief services, the So-Young Public Welfare Relief Base shoulders a significant mission.
Professor Li Shirong, recipient of the National Lifetime Achievement Award in Medical Aesthetics, holder of the title of “National Renowned Doctor,” winner of the “Chinese Physician Award” (the highest honor in China’s medical profession), Chairman of the Chinese Society of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Chief Expert and Honorary President of Xingrong Plastic Surgery Hospital, stated, “While the Xingrong model can be replicated, its high-caliber team of experts, advanced medical technologies and facilities, and the strong support from So-Young’s public welfare initiatives are unparalleled. In the future, Xingrong Plastic Surgery Hospital will work closely with So-Young to enhance the reputation of our public welfare assistance base, helping more people realize their dreams of beauty.”

Zhang Yunxiao, Vice President of So-Young’s Member Service Center and Service Experience Center, stated that, supported by the top-tier medical equipment and robust team of technical experts at Xingrong Plastic Surgery Hospital, the So-Young Public Welfare Rescue Base will provide free reconstructive assistance to more individuals, helping them return to normal life.
It is reported that since the launch of China’s first public welfare fund for repairing damages caused by illegal aesthetic medicine in May this year, the So-Young Public Welfare Assistance Project has invested RMB 10 million. It has provided free reconstructive aesthetic medical assistance to Shen Lin, who had been without a nose for 43 years, and Luo Li, who was born with a cleft lip and palate and subsequently suffered from illegal aesthetic procedures, helping them realize their dream of becoming “ordinary” individuals.
It is worth noting that among the more than 20 specially appointed experts at Xingrong Plastic Surgery Hospital, four serve as technical expert judges for the SoGreen Emerald Doctor List. These include Song Jianxing, Deputy Chairman of the Aesthetic and Cosmetic Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and Chief Physician of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Changhai Hospital Affiliated to Naval Medical University; Wu Yiping, Vice President of the Aesthetic and Plastic Surgeons Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and Director of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Wuhan Tongji Hospital; Hao Lijun, Deputy Chairman of the Aesthetic and Cosmetic Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and Director of the Center for Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery at the First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University; and Professor Wu Xiaowei, National Committee Member of the Aesthetic and Plastic Surgeons Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and Director of the Center for Aesthetic and Plastic Reconstruction at Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University.
Zhang Yunxiao stated that, bolstered by a team of experts wielding top-tier medical resources in the industry, the So-Young Public Welfare Assistance Base will help more people achieve their beauty dreams through professional and safe means. Meanwhile, “with the review conducted by such a group of leading technical experts in the field, the Emerald Doctor List will continue to identify and select more high-quality medical professionals for public welfare assistance projects.”
Additionally, Zhang Yunxiao revealed that the multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach, which integrates diagnosis and treatment while tailoring therapeutic plans to individual patient conditions, can deliver synergistic outcomes where “1+1>2.” To better serve aesthetic seekers and meet their diverse beauty enhancement needs, So-Young will invite more medical aesthetics experts to explore innovative models akin to MDT, thereby upholding its original commitment to promoting ethical practices in the medical aesthetics industry.
