Over the past year since its opening, multiple companies have achieved significant milestones: Qiyi Medical joined the park at the beginning of the year and became a partner in AstraZeneca’s “End-to-End Management of Chronic Respiratory Airway Diseases” project, facilitating the widespread deployment of all-in-one respiratory risk screening devices in over 470 hospitals and securing investment from a top-tier U.S. dollar fund. The Innovation Park has also encouraged tenant companies to explore deeper collaborations with more cross-industry partners; for instance, Shannmi, a tumor genetic testing company, partnered with Tencent in July to jointly develop the MiGuang Online Tumor Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Platform. At the AstraZeneca booth during the China International Import Expo (CIIE), numerous companies—including Guanhe, Jinse, LinkDoc, Liangzhun, Omron, Qiyi, Shannmi, UST, Xin’an Medical, and Xincheng Magnesium—showcased their latest innovative achievements incubated in forward-looking fields.

Since its opening in 2019, the Wuxi International Life Science Innovation Park has successfully attracted nearly 30 outstanding domestic and overseas enterprises and seven international strategic partners. Commenting on the company’s presence at this year’s China International Import Expo (CIIE), Lei Wang, Global Executive Vice President of AstraZeneca and President of International Business and China, stated, “The CIIE provides an excellent window for promoting two-way communication and cooperation in innovation between domestic and overseas markets. The achievements made by the Innovation Park in its first year would not have been possible without the joint support from government, industry, academia, research institutions, and healthcare providers. AstraZeneca will remain committed to its mission, continuing to leverage our advantageous resources and industry expertise. We look forward to working with more partners to build an open, collaborative, and win-win global medical innovation ecosystem. In achieving our own development, we aim to bolster China’s medical innovation capabilities, thereby benefiting patients in China and around the world.”
