Unveiling Ceremony

During the keynote session, Professor Gao Hengjun, Professor of Internal Medicine at Tongji University and Director of the Shanghai National Engineering Research Center for Biochips; Mr. Chen Shaoxiong, Executive President and Secretary-General of the Shanghai Biopharmaceutical Industry Association; and Researcher Wang Yongming from the School of Life Sciences at Fudan University each delivered keynote addresses.

Professor Gao Hengjun delivered a keynote address titled “The Novel Clinical Translation CBDTM Model: Demonstrating Its Value in the Fight Against COVID-19,” set against the backdrop of the pandemic. Professor Gao stated that precision medicine encompasses predictive prevention, early screening and diagnosis, and personalized treatment. A key aspect lies in how the establishment of biobanks facilitates the translation of the molecular diagnostics industry, with biological sample resources constituting a major national strategic resource. The patient-sample-centric CBDTM model represents an innovative approach in biopharmaceuticals; during the early stages of the COVID-19 outbreak, it provided robust support for the development of nucleic acid testing reagents and for early epidemic prevention and control.
