Wuhan Huada Jinuoyin Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (“Huada Jinuoyin”), a high-tech biotechnology enterprise dedicated to tumor immunocyte therapy, has secured RMB 100 million in Series A+ financing shortly after its Series A round in early 2019. This round was led by Hillhouse Venture Capital, with participation from four other investment institutions: Optics Valley Venture Capital, Daxiang Investment, Zhiyin Cell, and Qielou Yanan.
This marks another milestone since Wuhan Huada Jinuoyin Biotechnology Co., Ltd. received clinical trial approval for its “Targeted Neoantigen Autologous Immune T Cell (Neo-T) Injection” on January 7, 2020. Li Bo, CEO of Wuhan Huada Jinuoyin, stated, “The proceeds from this financing will be used to advance the Phase I clinical trial of our neoantigen-based cancer therapy product, Neo-T Injection. It will also support the research and development of additional innovative cell therapy products.” Since its establishment in 2017 with backing from BGI Genomics Co., Ltd. and Forebright Capital, Wuhan Huada Jinuoyin has been dedicated to developing personalized cancer therapies, maintaining an industry-leading position in areas such as neoantigen-based T-cell therapies and mRNA-based cancer vaccines.
Wuhan Huada Jinuoyin Biotechnology Co., Ltd. has established a high-standard cell preparation center compliant with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements at the Wuhan Optics Valley Bio-pharmaceutical Park. Covering an area of over 1,000 square meters, the facility features nine completely independent cell product production lines and is supported by specialized teams for cell product manufacturing and quality control, collectively providing robust support for clinical trials. Yang Naibo, Chief Operating Officer of Wuhan Huada Jinuoyin, revealed that Phase I clinical trials of Neo-T Injection have already been initiated at the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, with patient enrollment scheduled to commence within weeks, marking the official entry of the company’s products into the clinical development stage.
