Recently, Guichao Life secured millions in seed funding from the investment fund under the fashionable women’s brand “Li Ning Mei Ju.” The two parties will join forces to build a health and medical management service platform covering the entire lifecycle of women.
Guichao Life is a women’s health medical brand under the Guoyi Medical Group, dedicated to women’s health management and medical services. Currently, it leverages molecular diagnostic reagents as its entry point, integrating modern medicine and technological tools to construct AI-driven big data profiles for women. By relying on proprietary genetic testing technologies and a multi-dimensional, multi-omics testing platform, and combining these with clinical phenotype data and follow-up data on drug efficacy, Guichao Life aims to connect genetic data, clinical follow-up data, and medication data. This approach establishes a tripartite, closed-loop system for precision diagnosis and treatment, enabling the provision of personalized, precise health and therapeutic solutions for users.
Guichao Life’s business primarily focuses on at-home rapid testing and screening for common gynecological conditions and the three major gynecologic cancers. It employs digital real-time dynamic tracking and monitoring, engages expert gynecologists for intervention and treatment, and offers one-click booking for post-operative home nursing care and chronic disease management plans. Additionally, it provides assisted reproductive technologies and medical anti-aging services tailored to users’ personalized needs.
According to Mr. Wu Runbo, an investor, Li Ning Mei Ju is a group company integrating beauty and hairdressing chains, wholesale and retail of cosmetics, and mobile internet e-commerce platforms. Currently, it operates more than 30 directly-owned stores and over 100 franchise stores in the Sichuan region, manages multiple regional women’s brands, and serves more than 2 million members. “Li Ning Mei Ju holds great optimism about the business model of Gui Chao Life, recognizing the substantial market value derived from its women’s health management platform. We believe that Li Ning Mei Ju’s investment will bring new concepts and an international perspective, fully supporting Gui Chao Life in realizing its social and commercial value.”
The Future of the Women's Health Market Is Promising
Ms. Tang Li, founder of Guichao Life, stated that taking HPV screening as an example, the coverage rate of genetic screening among China’s 350 million age-eligible population is less than 2%. This implies that over 343 million people in China have unmet screening needs. Based on the current market price of RMB 300 per cervical cancer screening kit, the existing market demand exceeds RMB 102.9 billion. In the field of assisted reproductive technology (ART), with nearly 50 million individuals affected by infertility in China, the potential market size for ART reaches as high as $321.1 billion.
Guichao Life’s initiatives—whether in precision medicine, assisted reproductive technology, or chronic disease management—all fall under the umbrella of the female consumer economy, also known as the “She Economy.” This represents a relatively accessible market with a vast user base and well-defined, diverse business models, further bolstered by policy dividends such as the two-child policy. Recent financing rounds have been closely tied to the “She Economy,” demonstrating that even during economic downturns, women’s robust purchasing power remains undeterred.
Guichao Life proposes the concept of holistic health management and medical services covering the entire female life cycle. This approach treats the female life cycle as an integrated whole, providing continuous tracking and monitoring across an extended timeline—from developmental years and reproductive age to senescence. Products and services are continuously upgraded in alignment with women’s growth stages and specific life scenarios. All offerings are accessible through a single, comprehensive platform, eliminating the need to switch between multiple platforms, thereby enhancing user experience and strengthening customer loyalty. Furthermore, the substantial user data accumulated throughout this process enables the construction of AI-driven big data profiles for women, facilitating a deeper understanding of female users and delivering more precise, actionable, one-stop solutions.
Taking HPV testing as an example, Guichao Life has launched a one-stop comprehensive solution for HPV testing, customizing different products and services for diverse user groups and stages of care. For individuals undergoing initial screening, we recommend the 27-genotype HPV DNA test, which utilizes flow fluorescence–liquid chip technology to accurately detect 27 common HPV types. For high-risk populations and those with positive screening results, we recommend supplementary testing for HPV E6/E7 mRNA. This approach employs branched DNA (bDNA) signal amplification technology to detect E6/E7 mRNA, the transcripts of the major oncogenes E6 and E7 of the HPV virus. This method places greater emphasis on monitoring trends and progression of lesions, thereby assessing the risk of cervical disease, reducing unnecessary colposcopy referrals, significantly conserving medical resources, and alleviating patients’ undue psychological burden and anxiety.
Both Li Ning Mei Ju and Gui Chao Life operate within the “she-economy” sector, sharing aligned business philosophies and strategic directions. Gui Chao Life’s product portfolio urgently requires a substantial customer base, while Li Ning Mei Ju is well-positioned to provide extensive clientele and market support for Gui Chao Life’s expansion in Southwest China.
Guichao Life has completed its seed funding round, which will be used to build core infrastructure, including hospitals, medical equipment, and R&D teams. As of press time, Guichao Life has signed strategic cooperation agreements with more than 30 channel partners, reaching a female customer base of over 7 million. The company has onboarded 6,000 licensed nurses and more than 10 obstetrics and gynecology specialists, establishing an at-home medical care service network that truly enables users to book one-click appointments for private family doctor home visits.
Regarding the team, Guichao Life comprises 20 members, all with backgrounds in the medical industry. Founder Tang Li previously specialized in assisted reproduction, providing consulting services to hundreds of families. She recognized that most women ultimately resort to assisted reproduction because they initially neglect their own health management; a lack of health knowledge has led to an increasing incidence of disease among these women. Co-founder Xiao Chunjiang holds a bachelor’s degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Duke University in the United States. He has worked at Philips Healthcare’s U.S. headquarters, Alltech Medical Systems, and other medical device companies. As an experienced executive, he has gained expertise in both large medical corporations and small biotechnology firms. Co-founder Ren Ke is a senior professional in the internet and finance sectors, having worked at renowned enterprises such as Alibaba and China Huarong. During that period, Ren Ke also spent many years focusing on innovation in vertical biomedical and medical device fields. Through the collaboration of these three individuals, Guichao Life was established.
The funds from this round of financing have been received, and the company is currently negotiating detailed terms with multiple institutional investors. The company is expected to close a new round of financing shortly.
