On December 28, DXY, a leading digital health and medical technology enterprise in China, announced the completion of a $500 million financing round. The round was led by Trustbridge Partners, with participation from Tencent and Hillhouse Ventures. Li Tiantian, founder and chairman of DXY, stated that the company will continue to focus on its “dual-core drive” strategy targeting both healthcare professionals and the general public, strengthen collaboration with professional physicians and enterprises, leverage their respective professional advantages, and serve as a guide for healthy living.
As public health awareness rises and consumer decision-making shifts, the online development of the healthcare industry is accelerating. In July 2020, DXY launched its “dual-core strategy” for both physician-facing and consumer-facing platforms, integrating its consumer brand, Dingxiang Doctor, with its professional brand, DXY, to pool professional expertise and deliver reliable products. Following this round of financing, DXY will continue to strengthen the core competitive advantages of its physician-facing platform’s professional capabilities, consistently supporting the professional growth of Chinese doctors; further coordinate professional resources among doctors, enterprises, and medical institutions to explore more healthcare scenarios; and, through its consumer brand Dingxiang Doctor, provide professional, trustworthy, and comprehensive product series to improve the quality of healthy living for the Chinese population, thereby realizing its vision of “More Health, Better Life.”
During the COVID-19 pandemic, DXY-Dingxiang Doctor was the first to launch the “COVID-19 Epidemic Map,” becoming a primary source of global COVID-19 data. Meanwhile, it rapidly deployed public welfare initiatives for both healthcare professionals and the general public, including science-based rumor refutation, online free clinics, and open courses on COVID-19, cumulatively reaching over 8.6 billion individuals and contributing to the global fight against the pandemic.
