To implement the decisions and arrangements of the Healthy China Action Promotion Committee under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, the National Health Commission entrusted Peking University People’s Hospital (National Patient-Provider Experience Research Base) to take the lead in jointly implementing the “Healthy China Action Patient Experience Evaluation Project” with renowned domestic research institutions and hospitals. Zhidao Co., Ltd. served as the full-process technical service provider for the big data platform. On December 27, the “Special Symposium on the Patient-Provider Experience Evaluation Project under the Healthy China Action,” co-hosted by the Professional Committee on Patient-Provider Experience Management and Evaluation of the Chinese Research Hospital Association and Peking University People’s Hospital, and organized by the National Patient-Provider Experience Research Base, was successfully held in Beijing. Experts from numerous prestigious domestic research and medical institutions gathered to reach a consensus on the “Construction Plan for the Healthy China Action Patient Experience Evaluation Project.”

At the symposium, attending leaders, experts, and representatives heard a report on the “Construction Plan for the Healthy China Action Patient Experience Evaluation Project.” Yang Jinglin, Secretary-General of the National Doctor-Patient Experience Research Base, introduced and demonstrated the application of the National Doctor-Patient Experience Big Data Platform. Notably, the platform’s “Zhidao Brain,” leveraging its capabilities in processing doctor-patient experience data, helps hospitals and government agencies achieve holistic profiling of medical service quality, full-lifecycle data management, and enhanced decision-making efficiency. These features were highly acclaimed by the attendees.

All conference delegates engaged in thorough discussions on the content design, organizational promotion, and practical implementation of the “Construction Plan for the Patient Experience Evaluation Project under the Healthy China Initiative.” Particular emphasis was placed on how big data platforms can accurately reflect the implementation outcomes and existing challenges of the Healthy China Initiative; on experience evaluations of medical institutions (including internet hospitals) regarding their service capacity, service quality, health education, and safe medication practices; and on the application of patient experience data in performance assessments of public hospitals and accreditation of graded hospitals. Zhang Zongjiu, former Director of the Bureau of Medical Administration and Hospital Management under the National Health Commission and current Executive Vice President of the Institute of Hospital Management at Tsinghua University, commended the project team’s preliminary work as having “clear objectives, a solid foundation, scientific methodologies, and feasible approaches and plans.”

The National Doctor-Patient Experience Research Base will next collaborate with the School of Medicine at Tsinghua University, the First Medical Center of the Chinese PLA General Hospital, Zhidao Co., Ltd., and renowned domestic medical institutions to advance the development of “Doctor-Patient Experience Demonstration Hospitals” under the Healthy China initiative and to carry out large-scale public education campaigns as part of the “Patient Experience Evaluation Project for the Healthy China Action.” These efforts aim to provide data support and assist in decision-making for the effective implementation of the Healthy China Action, thereby fully leveraging the role of the National Health Commission’s administrative departments as a policy research think tank.
